We are currently seeking an enthusiastic individual to join us as a Regional Volunteer Team Leader, based from home, located within easy reach of Oldham, Manchester with some time spent at a centre and travel across the region.
You will join us working 35 hours per week on a permanent basis. Some occasional weekends may be required. In return, as our Regional Volunteer Team Leader you will receive a competitive salary of up to £30,058 per annum plus excellent benefits.
Cats Protection is the UK’s leading feline welfare charity with a nationwide network of adoption and homing centres, volunteer-run branches and charity shops. During 2021, we helped 137,000 cats and kittens. That's the equivalent of around 375 cats a day!
Our adoption and homing centres care for thousands of cats each year until they are able to find a loving new home. Responsibilities of our Regional Volunteer Team leader:
The main purpose of this role is to provide high level volunteer management within a designated geographical area. The post holder will recruit, induct, train and provide ongoing support to teams of diverse volunteers to enhance the effective running of activities and ensure they are carried out in line with best practice. These activities could take place within our centres, branches, regionally, and/or within a project.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our fledgling Fundraising Team and develop a trust fundraising programme from the ground up. We are looking for someone with experience in raising funds from trusts and foundations, who is an excellent communicator - spoken and written – and who can undertake research to effectively identify appropriate prospects. You will help to develop our case for support and develop a suite of proposals and reports that will convey to funders what Parentkind does, what the parents and schools we work with want, and how we support them. Greater Manchester Youth Federation (“GMYF”) is looking for 3 Youth Workers (2 x Part Time and 1 Full Time) who will work with young people at their Partington Youth and Community Centre and Whitemoss Centre in Charlestown, Manchester.

GMYF is a long-established charity that works with young people across Greater Manchester, to support their aspirations and create opportunities. GMYF opened our first Youth Centre in Partington in September 2022 and are in the process of opening a new Youth Centre in Charlestown. The Roles
The role of the Youth Worker is to be young person centred and to provide a nurturing, safe and supporting environment for the young people, building and maintaining positive relationships with them. You will be predominantly based at Partington Youth and Community Centre working with 9-16 year olds. You will support the Youth Activities Lead in planning and delivering a full programme of activities including Centre-based activities and outdoor trips, as well as supporting our outdoor adventure team with outdoor activities and residentials.
Key areas of focus for the Youth Worker will be:

Support the young people: always take a young person-centred approach to all activities. Maintain the ethos of the organisation by providing a nurturing, safe and supporting environment. Assist the Youth Activities Lead: work together with the team in planning and delivery of full programme of activities, including evening youth club sessions. Identify the formal and informal educational, social, cultural and recreational needs of the young people and plan a programme of positive interventions and innovations which enhances the knowledge, awareness and personal development of the young people. Articulate and record young people’s progression in sessional and project recording documentation and provide information for management and funding reporting. ·

Residentials: Attend weekend residentials and events at the GMYF’s outdoor pursuits centre and encourage the young people to get involved. Support and assist with the planning and delivery of off-site trips/activities and residentials at various locations.

Safeguarding: comply with all policies and procedures, with reference to safeguarding, codes of conduct, health and safety, and equality and diversity. Be alert to issues of safeguarding and child protection, ensuring the welfare and safety of youth club members is promoted and safeguarded. About You
We are looking for candidates who believe in GMYF’s mission and are experienced in working with young people. You should be able to build positive relationships with young people, always taking a young person centred approach. You will have some experience planning and delivering activities, and bring creative and innovative ideas about activities you could run for the young people. You should have strong teamwork and organisational skills, understanding of safeguarding, and willingness to undertake further training.

The role: Fundraising Manager
We are seeking a Fundraising Manager with a passion for our mission, who will build positive relationships to secure significant income, working together to harness the power of adventure to create lasting change and transform communities for all.
This is a new role, leading our small but growing Fundraising Team, and having a real input into our plans and strategies for the future. Reporting to the Head of Business Development, the successful candidate will oversee all fundraising income generation activity and lead on our Major Donor Giving Programme. A typical week could involve meeting with prospective donors, developing a case for support for a new stream of work, supporting team members to develop their own fundraising skills, and working with other departments to raise awareness of Bendrigg’s work.
This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned fundraiser to join and lead a forward-thinking and inclusive team and develop Bendrigg’s fundraising to support our new Strategic Plan. This opportunity is open to those wishing to work remotely (there would be an expectation to attend the office for a minimum of 2 weeks during the induction process, and thereafter at least 3 days per month throughout the year), looking for a hybrid working pattern or wanting to be fully office-based. The role is full time, however part-time on a minimum of 0.8FTE would be considered for the ideal candidate.

About the role
You will enable the Fundraising and Partnerships team to achieve their income targets by leading the Prospect Research & Insight team to plan and deliver strong, long-term pipelines, to manage them effectively, and to maximise the value of data in our fundraising.
Implementing proactive prospect identification and management strategies that enable fundraising teams to succeed, you will lead a high-performing team who drive and influence how the department uses data, harness the potential of our CRM, and develop reporting to support good business decisions.
Championing prospect development and the value of data, you will play a key role in the leadership of the Fundraising Operations team, using your skillset to problem solve and identify opportunities, potential and blind spots with the data at hand. To this, you will also oversee the processing of fundraising income, and guide accurate forecasting for the department. You will have a unique bird's eye view to analyse prospect and financial data to inform strategy and further amplify our fundraising activity.

The key responsibilities for the Access Manager role include;
- Champion access across the organisation and embed best practice in the work of all departments, with a particular focus on three strands – Producing (artistic practice), Visitor Experience (within MIF and at Aviva Studios), and Communications (marketing campaigns and ticketing processes)
- Communicate the FI access strategy and action plan at all levels from Board downwards and represent the Access workstream in Project Groups and at Management level meetings as needed

THE ROLE
The Contracts Manager will join our Operations team to represent the Woodland Trust locally, supporting a diverse portfolio of sites within North England, in line with the Trust’s standards and ensuring the safety of our colleagues, visitors, contractors and volunteers. It shall be the Contracts Manager’s responsibility to support Site Managers’ in the preparation and delivery of grant applications, operational contracts and projects including silvicultural operations.
The Contracts Manager will initiate, develop and project manage new innovative projects within and across the woodlands, working with external partner and a cross-departmental team of foresters, people engagement specialists, communications specialists and funders.
They will identify opportunities to streamline services, develop our contractor base and maximise the income and grant aid potential of work programmes. They are responsible for ensuring that all necessary agreements, mitigations and consents are in place in preparation for the delivery of contracts and in accordance with all Woodland Trust Health and Safety policies and procedures.
This is a 2-year fixed term contract until end of April 2026. A company car will be provided with this role.
THE CANDIDATE
With previous experience in land-based management in the forestry, woodland management, or nature conservation sector, you’ll have experience in writing and reviewing site management plans, budget and contract management, and Health and Safety management.
You’ll have experience in the writing and delivery grant schemes across woodland creation and for specifying, instructing, and supervising woodland management operations. You’ll be experienced in planning, monitoring, and delivering multi-disciplinary projects to time and to budget and in engaging with contractors and suppliers on pricing, implementation, and delivery.
You must have a proactive ‘can-do’ attitude, excellent communication skills, be commercially aware and able to build effective partnerships internally and externally. You’ll have experience engaging with external stakeholders, communities and volunteers with a collaborative approach. A working knowledge of the operational, ie Forest Works Management of woodlands would be desirable.
A full driving licence is a must have, along with the ability to undertake travel across a wide area, sometimes to remote locations. Occasional overnight stays will be required and you will be expected to live in the region and within easy reach of key sites in North England.

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly organised individual, in a supporting role to the HR and Learning & Development Manager. The role will assist with day to day operational tasks, providing managers and staff with effective administrative support in all aspects of Human Resources.
You will provide HR generalist administrative support for the full employee lifecycle, as well as support with the end-to-end recruitment cycle in line with The Churches Conservation Trust’s policies and procedures, best practice and legal requirements. You will assist with the provision of training and development of staff ensuring compliance with mandatory training.
To be successful in this role, you must be able to work as part of a small team, whilst also independently and proactively completing tasks. Excellent communication and IT skills, accuracy and attention to detail are essential requirements.
