Our 'Brighter Futures: Compassionate Care for BPD' project will allow us to provide more support services to people with borderline personality disorder - services that are desperately needed in the UK. We are the only national non-profit providing specialist support services to people with borderline personality disorder.
We are a small but mighty organisation, volunteer-led, providing support and help that is often not available anywhere else.
To keep providing services, and develop new ones, we desperately need to secure more regular donations and ongoing funding.
Can you help?
We would like to expand the expertise on our Fundraising Committee with 3 volunteer fundraisers.
Ideally we would like someone with a track record of working in fundraising or in the charity or voluntary sector. However, you don't need to have worked as a fundraiser, volunteer or trustee before. The key is that you feel passionate about what we do in helping people with BPD - and that you would like to help us keep going.
As a non-profit we can offer you the experience of working with a hands-on and enthusiastic Board of Trustees and understanding how this small and impactful organisation works across all levels. You will be part of a fantastic volunteer team, and will get full induction and training, as well as ongoing support.
If you feel this is the right role for you, apply today.

"I wouldn't be alive today, if it wasn't for the compassionate dedicated heroes at the Youth Club and Prout Bridge Project'.This is just one of the heart-felt endorsements we have received from young people we have helped. This young man had been through abuse, bullying and assault and felt that he 'didn't deserve to breath or eat', until he found the Youth Club. It took several years, but now he's back on track and has become a fully functioning adult.
The Prout Bridge Project is a small but mighty charity based in West Dorset. We are a local cornerstone charity, nurturing the physical, mental and emotional well-being of children, young people and adults, often providing support and help that is not available anywhere else.
The problem is that we desperately need to secure more regular donations and ongoing grant money. Can you help? We would like to expand the expertise on our team with a voluntary fundraiser. We have several warm prospects to work with and our existing supporters are our champions, but we need someone who can help expand our reach and make the most of the contacts we already have.
Ideally we would like someone with a track record of working in the charity or not-for-profit sector. However, although you will need fundraising knowledge, you don't need to have worked as a volunteer or trustee before. The key is that you feel compelled by what we do in helping young people - and would like to help us keep going.
As a charity we can offer you the experience of working with a hands-on and enthusiastic Board of Trustees and understanding how this small and impactful charity works across all levels. You will be part of a great volunteer network who work brilliantly as a team.
Please get in touch if you think you'd like to help us. You don't need to be locally based, but of course, we'd like you to be able to come and have a look at what we're doing, meet the team and talk to some of the young people we have helped and are helping.
The client requests no contact from agencies or media sales.

What is a Branch Fundraiser?
As part of a local team, our fundraisers represent SSAFA at events, and in public. The role includes helping at fayres, street collections, concerts, quizzes, raffles, sporting events etc.
Why do we need you?
We’ve been supporting the Armed Forces community since 1885. Our clients come from all backgrounds and age groups and may have served in WW2 or in a more recent conflict like the Falklands or Afghanistan.
There are SSAFA branches throughout the UK and overseas who support local volunteers to deliver services to veterans, serving personnel and their families. Some branches are divided into smaller divisions to ensure the best local service delivery. Each branch has a team of volunteer caseworkers, support volunteers, executive roles, and fundraisers.
SSAFA branches rely on regular charitable income to fund all the necessities behind our support for clients. This includes volunteer travel expenses, phone bills, publicity, and grants for clients in urgent need. A varied programme of fundraising also keeps the SSAFA profile high in the local community, so everyone knows who we are and how we can help.
When would you be needed and where would you be based?
This role involves being out and about at public events and would suit someone looking to give the occasional day, half day or evening to support SSAFA; when and where would be flexible to suit you.
