We are looking for a motivated, creative, and organised Engagement and Communications Officer to join our team. This role is a unique opportunity for someone with a passion for building a fairer legal system through impactful events, engaging member outreach, and powerful communications. Working alongside the Director of Development and the Head of Communications, this role will work across teams to maintain and strengthen engagement through events, communications and corporate outreach. You will play an integral role in communicating our work as widely as possible and improving and increasing engagement with our supporters, including our members, donors and corporate partners.
The Engagement and Communications Officer will work to maximise income and support for JUSTICE through events (approximately 45% of the role), communications (approximately 30% of the role) and membership (approximately 25% of the role). They will report to the Director of Development and Head of Communications.
We want someone who can learn and grow in this role so if you don’t have every skill listed but are organised, motivated, and interested in our work then we want to hear from you.
The JUSTICE team currently work in a hybrid manner. Staff members have access to office space in London, however, attendance is currently optional. Our staff enjoy flexible working conditions, 27 days annual leave, plus the week between Christmas and the New Year, 8% employer pension contribution and access to an Employee Assistance Programme.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Major Gifts Fundraiser to join our team. As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for securing six-figure major gifts from individuals in a charity environment to meet ambitious targets. You should be persuasive and credible with all audiences, including those at the highest level, both internally and externally. You should also have the ability to disseminate and present complex information clearly and compellingly.

About the role
As an Assistant People Business Partner, you’ll support and drive change and people management initiatives, collaborate with subject matter experts to help support delivering the British Heart Foundation (BHF) strategy.
You’ll have business partnering responsibility for Finance, Risk Planning & Legal and will support and assist the wider BP team with the Technology and Marketing, Fundraising & Engagement (MFE) directorates.
Striving for excellence, you’ll bring insight and provide operational support. You’ll be involved in Workforce Planning, Employee Engagement, Talent Management, Performance Management, and key Recruitment in specific areas of the business.
Establishing effective relationships with Business Leaders and specialists, you’ll provide valued interventions and insights on strategies to achieve business objectives and will be able to effectively analyse and present data in an engaging manner.
Working arrangements
Please note this is a 12 month fixed term contract.
This is a blended role, where your work will be dual located between your home and our London office.

About you
CIPD qualified, ideally Level 5+, or equivalent experience, you’ll have senior HR or Business Partnering experience and excellent communication, coaching and relationship building skills.
Able to drive and implement plans effectively to required timescales, you’ll be results oriented and able to take the initiative and ownership to get the job done. You’ll have the vision and intellectual capability to understand the environment in which the BHF is operating and will be able to develop and maintain strong working relationships, both within the BHF and with relevant external partners.

Your role
As Assistant Shop Manager, it is an exciting opportunity to work alongside the Shop Manager in Surbiton's brand new Scope shop (Victoria Road, Surbiton, KT6 4NS). The shop will be opening mid 2024. You will be able to use your creativity and flair to flourish in our retail environment. Our retail roles are full of variety, and every day is different! One day you might be be generating and processing stock and designing an eye-catching window display. The next day you might be recruiting and training our wonderful volunteers. Every day there will be a different challenge that you’ll find extremely rewarding. You may also deputise and be responsible for running the shop when the shop manager is absent. A great attitude and willingness to learn are just as important as relevant experience.
About you
You’ll be a dedicated team player with a strong work ethic and committed to providing excellent customer service. You do not need specific retail experience. But we do ask that you are business minded and have worked in a fast paced, service environment where you put the customer’s needs first. You’ll also need to showcase a great attention to detail, solid IT skills and have a creative eye for displays. You will also demonstrate an appreciation of Scope’s values and ambition of achieving Everyday Equality for disabled people.

It’s important for you to know that Scope Charity Shops are open every day, so some weekend and Bank Holiday cover is needed. We work 35 hours a week, working five days out of seven. Weekly hours for part-time vacancies are on a seven-day rota.

Educational Grants & Relationships Manager
The Merchant Taylors' Company is looking for an exceptional person to lead on its educational grant-making and its education-related relationships. The grant-making is delivered primarily through the Merchant Taylors' Foundation. It’s partly about schools but also potentially any setting in which education improves lives – for example, offender rehabilitation, or our Early Years joint programme with the Leathersellers’ Company.
You’ll sustain vibrant relationships between the Company and schools throughout England and Northern Ireland with which it has close links. Some are state-maintained, some in the independent sector, and you’ll love both types.
You’ll lead on education-related volunteering opportunities for the Company’s membership, a vibrant community of people whose birth decades span the early 2000s back to the 1930s.
You’ll also lead on relationships with all the stakeholders affecting our education-related work. You’ll ensure those relationships are flourishing and mutually advantageous, and you’ll lead on identifying and building new ones to increase our impact.
You’ll support fundraising work for the Foundation, for example through creating compelling pieces for social media and hard copy publications.
You’re a fast learner and clearly very able. You are clever, proactive, pragmatic and financially astute. Your influencing and diplomatic skills are strong. Your social skills are brilliant with people of all ages and walks of life. Your oral and written communication skills are excellent, and you’ll need them for working with Merchant Taylors’ boards and committees and communicating with the Company’s membership. BACKGROUND
The Helen Bamber Foundation is a human rights organisation with an international reputation for providing medical consultation, therapeutic care, legal protection, and practical support to survivors of trafficking and torture. We are a team of therapists, doctors, lawyers, caseworkers and administrators who help men, women and children recover from the emotional and physical damage they have suffered because of torture, human trafficking, or other forms of cruelty.
OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE
As Psychotherapist within the Helen Bamber Foundation, you will work alongside our current Senior Psychotherapist and be responsible for supporting the Head of Therapies and the Team Manager in providing a comprehensive range of therapeutic interventions to clients of the Helen Bamber Foundation.
In addition to providing psychotherapy, stabilization, psychoeducation, and trauma focused therapy, this role will include delivery of psychological assessments for both medico-legal and clinical purposes, as well as delivery of clinical supervision to staff from non-clinical backgrounds who nonetheless have significant client contact, and supervision of assistant psychologists. As you develop in the role you will also have opportunities to contribute to the on-going development of the service and at times, the role may include input into policy, research and fundraising and delivery of consultancy and training.
We are looking for someone who is committed to working therapeutically with individuals who have experienced human rights abuses and who have developed trauma spectrum disorders as a result. The successful applicant will ideally have proven experience in working therapeutically with this client group, have a passion for human rights work beyond the individual client work, and a desire to contribute to effecting change at a policy level. This role requires the ability to be with the complex and sometimes harrowing details of a client’s experience, and to react and respond creatively and appropriately to their needs.Additionally, you will be knowledgeable and experienced in consultation and assessment including risk management, and have competence, or a commitment to receiving training, in at least one model of trauma therapy such as NET or EMDR.
