Tools with a Mission (TWAM) is a Christian charity dedicated to empowering communities in the developing world by providing refurbished tools and trade tool kits. Annually, the organisation sends more than 20,000 tools to support livelihood creation. By partnering with local communities and skills training centers, Tools with a Mission helps individuals achieve sustainable growth and self-reliance.
This is a part time, on-site, PAID hybrid role in Ipswich for an Executive Assistant. The Executive Assistant will provide administrative support to the trustees and CEO by managing the busy annual calendar and schedules, preparing reports, handling confidential documentation and coordinating meetings. The role includes managing travel and expenses. This will be a month-by-month paid contracted position.
Experience:
- Executive Administrative Assistance, including managing calendars and travel arrangements.
- Experience handling Expense Reports and related financial tasks with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong skills in Executive Support and Administrative Assistance for managing organisational operations and documentation.
- Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with diverse teams and external stakeholders.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines efficiently.
- Working knowledge of office software like Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and uphold confidentiality.
- Empathy with a Christian charity with an international mission and outlook.
- Prior experience in the non-profit or charity sector is a plus but not essential.

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented HR Assistant to support our recruitment and volunteer coordination processes. In this role, you will work closely with the HR & Recruitment Officer to help deliver an efficient and inclusive recruitment experience, from advertising roles through to onboarding new volunteers.
A key part of this role involves maintaining accurate records within our CRM system to support recruitment and onboarding activities.
This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in HR and recruitment within a grassroots charity environment.

Key Responsibilities
You will support a range of recruitment and administrative activities, including:
- Assisting with the creation and posting of job adverts and volunteer opportunities
- Supporting recruitment activities, including screening applications and scheduling interviews
- Maintaining accurate candidate and volunteer records using the organisation’s CRM system
- Assisting with onboarding tasks such as collecting documents and reference checks
- Supporting the development, review, and organisation of HR policies and procedures
- Contributing ideas and initiatives that help promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture
- Communicating professionally with applicants and volunteers via email and other platforms
- Updating and organising documents within shared systems such as Google Drive
- Supporting inclusive, fair, and transparent recruitment practices
- Attending monthly check-in meetings with the HR & Recruitment Officer
- Assisting with general HR and administrative tasks where required

Chair of Trustees – Hidayah

Hidayah is a volunteer-led organisation supporting LGBTQ+ Muslims through community support, advocacy, education, and wellbeing initiatives. It creates safe, inclusive spaces where people can connect, feel empowered, and have their voices heard, while promoting equality and positive change across the UK and beyond.
Purpose of the Role
The chair of trustees provides strategic leadership to Hidayah, ensuring the organisation is well-governed, sustainable, and aligned with its mission and values.
Key Responsibilities
The chair will:
- Chair trustee board meetings and the AGM.
- Provide strategic leadership and oversee organisational development.
- Ensure compliance with Hidayah’s constitution, policies, and governance procedures.
- Support the implementation of the annual Strategic Plan.
- Oversee policy development, safeguarding, and organisational compliance.
- Support and supervise staff, consultants, or volunteers where required.
- Build partnerships and support fundraising initiatives.
- Represent Hidayah externally and promote its mission and activities.
- Contribute to the annual report and organisational administration.
- Act as a bank signatory where required.
Commitment Expected
Trustees are expected to:
- Attend trustee meetings and key planning meetings.
- Support Hidayah events and fundraising activities.
- Engage with emails and communications regularly.
- Maintain accurate organisational records and shared systems.
- Uphold Hidayah’s values and code of conduct.
- Serve until the next AGM, subject to a six-month probation period.
- Minimum commitment of 4–5 hours per week, with additional time required during busy periods or key organisational activities.
