About Us
Influential Stars is a purpose driven platform connecting creators, supporters, and causes through exclusive experiences and campaigns that raise funds for UK charitable organisations. We are a growing team committed to delivering meaningful impact through professionally managed experiences.
Our Story
Influential Stars was founded by Lisa Connell, who is living with an inoperable brain tumour and has spent many years raising awareness and support for UK causes. The platform was created from a deeply personal belief that influence, connection, and community can be powerful forces for good when brought together in the right way.
Volunteers play a vital role in helping turn that vision into real world impact, enabling experiences that raise funds, create joy for winners, and support charitable organisations across the UK.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced, confident, and creative Volunteer Social Media Manager to take ownership of Influential Stars’ social media presence across multiple platforms.
This is a hands-on role for someone capable of planning, creating, and scheduling purposeful content that raises awareness, builds community engagement, and supports campaigns across the UK.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and grow Influential Stars’ social media presence across platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn
Plan, create, and schedule consistent content aligned with the organisation’s mission and tone of voice
Develop content that inspires awareness, connection, and positive action
Share stories, campaigns, and updates in a sensitive and engaging way
Maintain content calendars and scheduling systems
Monitor engagement and respond appropriately where required
Coordinate with internal team members to ensure accurate and timely messaging
Maintain brand consistency across all channels
Stay informed about platform trends and opportunities to increase reach
Skills and Experience Required
Essential:
Proven experience managing social media across multiple platforms
Strong understanding of engagement and awareness driven content
Excellent written communication skills and attention to tone
Confidence working independently and taking ownership of output
Strong organisational skills and ability to manage content schedules
Proactive, reliable, and professional approach
Genuine connection to the organisation’s mission and values
Desirable:
Experience managing accounts for charities, community organisations, or purpose led brands
Familiarity with social media scheduling tools and analytics
Experience working remotely within a team
Based in London or Hertfordshire for occasional in person meetings (not essential)
Working Arrangement
Fully remote position
Flexible working hours depending on organisational needs
Workload may vary as campaigns increase
Occasional (optional) in person team meetings
Why Volunteer With Us
Play a key role in shaping how a purpose driven platform communicates with the public
Help amplify campaigns that support charities and individuals facing difficult circumstances
Gain valuable senior level experience and portfolio visibility
Join a mission driven organisation at an exciting stage of growth
Flexible volunteering that can fit around other commitments
Opportunity to contribute creatively while making a meaningful difference
Although this is currently a volunteer position, Influential Stars is actively working to grow the platform with the long term aim of creating paid roles. While we are unable to provide a timeframe and future opportunities will depend on the organisation’s growth and incoming work, this role offers the chance to be part of that journey from an early stage.
As Influential Stars is a volunteer-led platform, we are looking for someone who can work proactively and independently, including sourcing content inspiration, planning posts, identifying trends, and helping build consistent social media momentum rather than relying solely on daily instruction.
The client requests no contact from agencies or media sales.

Volunteer Opportunity: Programme Coordinator
Lead the Creation of Joyful, Connection‑Building Activities Across London
Location: Hybrid (East London focus)
Time Commitment: Flexible, approx. 4–8 hours per week
Salary: Voluntary
Reports To: Founder & CEO
About SUNSHINE Charity
Loneliness is one of the most profound challenges facing our communities — but together, we can change that.
SUNSHINE Charity is a new, volunteer-powered organisation dedicated to reducing loneliness and social isolation by creating warm, joyful, inclusive spaces where people can meet, connect, and feel part of something bigger.
We believe that connection is a human need. We believe that joy is a form of care. We believe that community can change lives.
As we prepare to launch our first programmes across London, we are looking for a passionate and creative Programme Coordinator to help design, set up, and run the activities that will bring people together.
This is a rare opportunity to shape the heart of a brand‑new charity.
The VOLUNTEER Opportunity
As our Programme Coordinator, you will be the person who turns ideas into experiences — the architect of the moments where strangers become friends, where laughter fills a room, where someone who felt alone suddenly feels seen.
You won’t just be coordinating activities. You’ll be creating spaces where connection can flourish.
Your work will help build a London where people feel welcomed, valued, and part of a community that cares.
What You’ll Be Doing
Designing and helping deliver a range of community activities that reduce loneliness
Setting up new programmes from scratch — from planning to launch
Coordinating sessions, venues, volunteers, and logistics
Welcoming participants and creating a warm, inclusive atmosphere
Building relationships with local partners, groups, and community spaces
Supporting volunteers involved in programme delivery
Gathering feedback to help shape and improve activities
Helping develop programme processes, safety measures, and best practice
Working closely with trustees, volunteers, and the CEO
Bringing creativity, energy, and joy to every session
Who We’re Looking For
You don’t need charity experience — you just need heart, initiative, and a love of bringing people together.
We’re looking for someone who:
Is passionate about community, connection, and helping people feel less alone
Enjoys planning, organising, and making things happen
Communicates with warmth and empathy
Can confidently lead sessions and welcome participants
Is reliable, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership
Can build relationships with people from all walks of life
Is comfortable using email, online meetings, and basic digital tools
Shares SUNSHINE’s values of kindness, inclusion, and joy
Experience in community engagement, events, programme delivery, group facilitation, social care, or coordination is helpful — but not essential.
Why Volunteer With SUNSHINE?
This role offers the chance to:
Help launch a brand‑new community charity
Shape the activities and programmes that will define SUNSHINE
Make a real, lasting difference in tackling loneliness
Gain experience in programme design, delivery, and coordination
Build leadership, facilitation, and community engagement skills
Work alongside a passionate, supportive team
Leave a legacy that will impact communities across London
The Difference You’ll Make
Behind every community session is someone who planned it. Behind every moment of joy is someone who created the space for it. Behind every new friendship is someone who made the connection possible.
As Programme Coordinator, you will be that person.
Your contribution will help ensure that people who feel lonely can find warmth, belonging, and hope — not just once, but week after week.
You will help bring people together, spark joy, and build community.
