What will you be doing:

Long Covid Support is moving to a new website and stepping forward with a fresh brand identity. We need an SEO expert to help us get it right from day one. This is a chance to make a real impact. You'll be at the heart of our digital launch, collaborating closely with our volunteer team, brand advisors, and IT support to ensure our new website reaches the people who need it most.

What are we looking for:
Essential skills and experience:

• Solid knowledge of SEO principles and practices (on-page optimisation, technical SEO, keyword research, etc.)
• Experience with Google Analytics and ability to set up meaningful tracking
• Able to use Squarespace
• Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical people
• Enthusiasm for working with a charity and making a difference
• Good communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams

Nice to have:

• Experience with Google Ad Grants
• Understanding of website transitions and migration SEO

What difference will you make:

When people search for help, we want them to find us. Better SEO means our new website reaches more people with Long Covid at the moment they're looking for support. Your work will directly help us expand our reach and impact.

Key Responsibilities:
 

• Meet with our project lead to establish our needs, set realistic timeframes, and design an effective SEO approach for us
• Ensure effective traffic is directed to our new site, including managing connections to our old site where advisable
• Lead keyword optimisation as a result of our name and brand change
• Set up Google Analytics to help us gather robust, high-quality data from our new website
• Collaborate with our team, brand advisors, and existing IT support to ensure you have all the information and access you need
• Advise on Google Ad Grants services once SEO work has concluded - the role could extend if you're interested in developing this workstream
• Technical requirement: You'll need to be comfortable using Squarespace, as this is where our new website is hosted. We'll provide access and support.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced, confident, and creative Volunteer Social Media Manager to take ownership of Influential Stars’ social media presence across multiple platforms.

This is a hands-on role for someone capable of planning, creating, and scheduling purposeful content that raises awareness, builds community engagement, and supports campaigns across the UK.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and grow Influential Stars’ social media presence across platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn

• Plan, create, and schedule consistent content aligned with the organisation’s mission and tone of voice

• Develop content that inspires awareness, connection, and positive action

• Share stories, campaigns, and updates in a sensitive and engaging way

• Maintain content calendars and scheduling systems

• Monitor engagement and respond appropriately where required

• Coordinate with internal team members to ensure accurate and timely messaging

• Maintain brand consistency across all channels

• Stay informed about platform trends and opportunities to increase reach

Skills and Experience Required

As a Fundraising Team Member, you will play a vital role in helping SUNSHINE grow from a bold idea into a thriving community charity.

You’ll help us tell the story of loneliness. You’ll help us show why SUNSHINE matters. And you’ll help us secure the support we need to launch our programmes, reach isolated people, and build communities of belonging.

Whether you’re experienced in fundraising or simply confident communicating, writing, or building relationships, you can make a powerful difference.

Your work will help ensure that no one in London has to face loneliness alone.

What You’ll Be Doing

Depending on your skills and interests, you may support:

• Researching and identifying potential funders, donors, and grant opportunities

• Writing compelling grant applications and funding proposals

• Helping craft persuasive fundraising messages, stories, and cases for support

• Reaching out to local businesses, community groups, and supporters

• Supporting small fundraising campaigns and appeals

• Helping develop fundraising materials, presentations, and pitches

• Assisting with donor stewardship and thank‑you communications

• Contributing creative ideas for raising seed funding

• Working closely with the CEO, trustees, and volunteers to build a sustainable income pipeline

You don’t need to do all of these — we’ll shape the role around your strengths.

Who We’re Looking For

You don’t need formal fundraising experience — though it’s a bonus. If you’re a strong communicator, a natural storyteller, or someone who enjoys building relationships, you already have the foundations.

We’re looking for someone who:

• Is passionate about tackling loneliness and building community

• Enjoys communicating with people and building connections

• Is confident reaching out to potential supporters

• Is reliable, proactive, and comfortable taking initiative

Experience in fundraising, sales, communications, marketing, grant writing, or partnership building is helpful — but not essential.

EPIC Entrepreneurs is one of the UK's fastest-growing not-for-profit organisations supporting young entrepreneurs aged 16-25 from disadvantaged and underrepresented backgrounds. Through mentoring, masterclasses, funding opportunities and business support, we help ambitious young people turn their ideas into sustainable businesses and careers.

We're looking for passionate volunteer mentors from a wide range of professional backgrounds who are willing to share their experience, guidance and encouragement with the next generation of founders.

About the Role

As an EPIC Mentor, you'll be matched with one or more young entrepreneurs and provide guidance, encouragement and practical advice as they develop their business ideas and entrepreneurial skills.

The role is flexible and designed to fit around your existing commitments, requiring a minimum commitment of just one hour per month.

Mentoring sessions are delivered remotely, allowing you to support entrepreneurs from anywhere in the UK.

Purpose of the Role

To join the board as a Volunteer Finanical Director, bringing governance knowledge and strategic thinking to strengthen board effectiveness, uphold the CIC's obligations, and ensure all decisions are made in the best interests of the community we serve.

Role and Responsibilities

1. Guide the Board

• Attend two to three board meetings per month, virtual or hybrid, and come prepared to contribute
• Help ensure decisions are made properly, recorded, and followed through
• Review and respond to decisions outside of meetings within 48 to 72 hours
• Support the review of policies and raise questions when something needs attention
• Support the development of projects and programmes by contributing ideas, strategic thinking, critical insight, and creative, innovative approaches, while bringing energy, boldness, and enthusiasm.

2. Keep Us on Track

• Contribute to strategic decision-making, policy approval, and organisational oversight
• Monitor organisational performance and support the Managing Director in delivery accountability
• Flag risks early and help ensure resources are used well and in line with our mission
• Keep the needs of the communities we serve at the centre of every decision

3. Be a Critical Friend

• Challenge and support the Managing Director with honesty and care
• Ask the questions that need to be asked, even when it is uncomfortable
• Help us grow in a way that is sustainable and grounded in our values

4. Champion What Matters

• Be an ambassador for Zion Wellness in how you show up and speak about us
• Participate in bi-directional mentorship exchanges with young people on the programme
• Ensure safeguarding, inclusion, and community interest are never an afterthought

What We Are Looking For

You will bring:

• A strong professional background in finance, budgeting, and strategic financial planning
• Confident, values-led leadership with the ability to represent the CIC's mission at board level
• A background in leadership, social impact, or community outreach
• Experience in creative direction, entrepreneurship, or project leadership
• Understanding of organisational strategy, stakeholder engagement, and partnership development
• A genuine commitment to systemic change and the communities we serve

It would be great if you also have:

• Governance experience such as trustee, governor, or board-level involvement, though this is not essential
• Experience in a charity, CIC, or grassroots organisation
• Training and induction will be provided for the right candidate

This role is open to graduate and university students (aged 18+) who are looking to gain real leadership and governance experience. If you are early in your career and passionate about community impact, we want to hear from you. Ongoing support will be provided.

• Are you over 18 and living in the UK? You must be over the 18 years of age and live permanently in the UK.
• Do you have a mobile phone or laptop? You can do this role whether you are, whether it be on a sofa or on a plane.
• How much time can you give? As much as you want to do. We are flexible and like to work around you.
• Do you like to learn? We provide training for all volunteers that join us. You'll have access to our courses to help you advance your knowledge and certificates to add to your CV.

How does it work?

In 2025 we launched our arm chair volunteering initiative to help us spread the word about our service and to give people the opportunity to take part in surveys and projects to help us deliver the best mental health support to the UK public.

We'd like to embrace what you love doing, whether that be sharing on socials, proof reading, surveys, sharing experiences or getting involved in our fabulous projects.

Important information:

In order to volunteer for knus as an ambassador, you will need to complete a brief application form and a ID check. A DBS is not required for this role, however, if you wish to progress to another role you may need a disclosure. We do this to ensure of service remains a safe place to volunteer for all. Please do not worry about this, we will help you as much as we can.

Training is provided by us and our training partners. You will be required to attend this training using online conferencing software such as zoom or teams.

Ganddee

We connect shoppers to local second-hand shops and thrifting events across the UK.

​Social Media Marketer

Ganddee is the UK and Ireland's largest discovery platform helping shoppers find local second-hand shops / charity shops, car boot sales, flea markets and thrifting events - think 'google maps for thrifting' or 'vinted for people who love to thrift IRL'.

We're building and growing the the UK and Ireland's biggest thrifting community. To that end, we're looking for volunteers who share our love for thrifting and circularity.

Even if everyone works from home/remote in our team, living in the UK or Ireland is a requirement for this opportunity.

The time commitment and "duration of the role" aren't set in stone! Happy to chat and see what works for you if you're excited by this opportunity!

The role entails:

• Creating content on Tiktok

You're perfect for the role if you love creating content on social media. We're not looking for someone with a big following base or "professional influencer skills". But you should be comfortable in front of a camera (we love carousels, so posting pictures is fine too!) :)

We'll teach you best practices for engaging UGC if you're keen to learn social media communications! We have lots of experience on tiktok and insta, so it's a great opportunity to learn more about these platforms! :)

The Vavengers is looking to expand its Board of Trustees.  We are The Vavengers. We are a women and survivor-led movement working to end FGM and intersecting Violence Against Women and Girls. We campaign, convene and connect to end Gender-Based Violence.

As a led by and for movement, we encourage female candidates and candidates who have lived experience of Gender-Based Violence, migration, war and poverty to join our movement.

The Vavengers Board

As Trustee terms come to an end, we are seeking a number of new Board members. We are a small charity, and our Board provides a vital role in supporting the CEO, including providing specialist expertise in areas such as fundraising, Human Resources, charity/donor finance, events and volunteer management. We are also seeking specific Legal, Treasurer and Co-Chair roles (see below).      

All Trustee Candidates must have 

• Personal integrity, sound judgement and a commitment to robust governance

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive, collaborative relationships

• A leadership style that reflects empathy, accountability and the values of The Vavengers, which underpin everything we do

• Strong commitment to social and racial justice, gender equality and ending all forms of Gender-Based Violence 

In return, we will provide you with a comprehensive induction and the opportunity to work with an extraordinary team of staff, ambassadors and volunteers, to gain experience in a governance role and to contribute towards the goal of ending FGM and intersecting violence everywhere. 

Time commitment:  As a Trustee, you will commit to attending 4 Board meetings per year and providing ad hoc support if required between meetings. You will leverage your professional networks to support the goals of the charity. 

The Vavengers Co-Chair designate

The Vavengers has recently transitioned to a Co-Chair approach to better support our small but dedicated team, and in recognition of the heightened risk of isolation and burnout in small charities. This dual-leadership model allows the Co-Chairs to prioritise staff well-being and offer more robust, active support to The Vavengers staff.  Our Co-Chairs and CEOs work as close partners, using frequent, informal check-ins to ensure rapid decision-making and a collaborative culture.

One of our Co-Chairs will step down in the coming months; therefore, The Vavengers is seeking a new Trustee to join the Board and step into the Co-Chair role.  A full handover will be provided.

The Co-Chair will:

• Co-led the Board of Trustees, planning and chairing meetings, setting agendas and ensuring all trustees contribute to effective and inclusive decision-making

• Ensure the Board meets the highest standards of governance and compliance in line with charity law and Charity Commission requirements.

• Lead the board in setting the charity’s strategic direction and monitoring implementation of The Vavengers ' 3-year strategic plan, which was launched in July 2025

• Support the CEO, acting as a critical friend and leading the CEO’s annual appraisal process.

• Oversee Trustee recruitment and ensure Board effectiveness through regular performance review.s

• Represent the charity in external forums, as directed by the CEO

The ideal candidate will bring integrity, diplomacy and emotional intelligence to this Co-Chair role.  They will have previous Board experience, ideally as a Chair or Vice-Chair and a strong understanding of charity governance and the distinction between governance and operational management.  They will have a proven ability to build strong relationships with the CEO, fellow trustees, staff, volunteers and external stakeholders.  They should have experience in navigating risk and uncertainty at the organisational and sector level.  They must be committed to building an open, collegiate co-leadership relationship with their Co-Chair.

Time commitment:  The role involves working with your Co-Chair and CEO to prepare and deliver 4 Board meetings per year, regular check-ins with the CEO, routine check-ins with Trustees, a strong partnership and open communication with your Co-Chair to divide tasks and ensure The Vavengers team is supported.  One Board meeting per year will be in person.  All other Board meetings will be via Google Meet. 

The Vavengers Treasurer

We are seeking a Treasurer to join the Board and oversee financial governance. The Treasurer will:

• Provide strategic financial support to the CEO

• Establish and chair a new Audit and Risk sub-committee

• Monitor financial performance, ensuring appropriate controls and compliance are in place and advising on risk.

The ideal candidate will be a senior finance professional with strong experience in governance, audit and risk. Candidates should be comfortable operating at the Board level, providing constructive challenge and communicating financial information clearly to non-financial colleagues. Knowledge of charity finance and the SORP would be an advantage, but is not essential.  

A full handover will be provided by our current Treasurer, who is stepping down in the summer. 

Time commitment:  The role involves Board meetings 4 times per year, Finance Committee meetings 4 times per year and some ad hoc support between meetings.  One Board meeting per year will be in person.  All other Board meetings will be via Google Meet. 

The Vavengers, Legal Trustee

We are seeking a legal trustee for the Vavengers Board.  The legal trustee will already have or will be willing to develop a strong understanding of charity governance and will be eager to grow and amplify the charity’s significant public advocacy work.   

The right candidate would bring professional legal experience from one or more areas relevant to our work, which may include human rights, immigration and asylum, media and communication, employment and equality, defamation, risk management, compliance and data protection.  Experience in charity law and governance would be an advantage, but is not essential.

A full handover will be provided by our current Legal Trustee, who is stepping down in the summer. 

Time commitment:  The role involves Board meetings 4 times per year, with additional meetings should the Trustee join one of the charity’s committees.  Some ad hoc support may be required between meetings.  One Board meeting per year will be in person.  All other Board meetings will be via Google Meet.
