Who we are:

We are an arts and health charity with branches in Bristol and London. Our art studios provide holistic support to people who are experiencing mental or emotional difficulties so that they can re-create their reasons and purpose for living, move from isolation to community, find new ways to live and experience a better quality of life. The ambition of the charity is to create a network of sustainable, safe, local studios available to all who need them, as and when they need them.

The main duties of this role are to support the smooth running of our Bristol office.

Tasks would include:

• Answering the phone, booking appointments and visits

• Filing and updating databases

• Maintaining office equipment and art materials stock

• Marketing and updating social media to promote the studio, artwork sales & events

• Supporting the studio team and promoting the charity

• This is a great opportunity to work in a vibrant and creative atmosphere, whilst gaining further administrative skills and contributing to an established project, which is evolving and expanding.

Key Skills Required:

Hours:

Volunteers are asked to commit to 3 hours per week, on Friday afternoons (1-4 pm) starting on June 19, 2026 for a minimum of 6 months. 

The Community Ambassador Volunteer role is a flexible, people-focused role where you'll represent MumsAid at local events, community fairs, business engagement opportunities, and awareness-raising activities. Acting as a friendly and knowledgeable ambassador, you'll help share information about our services, fundraising activities, and volunteering opportunities, helping more people learn about MumsAid. 

No previous experience is required. We will provide training, resources, and ongoing support to help you feel confident representing MumsAid in your community. 

What will you be doing? 

• Representing MumsAid at local community events, fairs, markets, business events, and awareness-raising opportunities. 

• Acting as a friendly and welcoming point of contact for members of the public. 

• Talking to people about MumsAid's services and the support available. 

• Sharing information about volunteering, fundraising, and ways to get involved with MumsAid. 

• Distributing leaflets, promotional materials, and information resources. 

• Helping raise awareness of perinatal mental health and the support available through MumsAid. 

• Answering general questions about MumsAid and signposting enquiries to the appropriate staff member where needed. 

• Gathering feedback, questions, and community insights to share with the MumsAid team. 

• Helping to create a positive, inclusive, and welcoming presence for MumsAid within the local community. 

• Following MumsAid's policies and procedures, including safeguarding, confidentiality, health and safety, and equality and diversity guidance.

As a charity we are able to help thousands of cats each year thanks to the generous donations we receive from members of the public. Our fundraising team leaders have the exciting and varied role of inspiring our fundraising volunteers to plan and deliver local fundraising events. Using their passion and imagination, they oversee a small team of fundraising volunteers who come together to raise the vital funds needed to cover costs such as veterinary bills and food. Our fundraising team leaders support their team of volunteers in all aspects of their roles, making sure our volunteers are happy, confident and supported.

We’re looking for creative and collaborative volunteers to bring content ideas to life and prepare materials for events, helping BCWA engage with local communities and organisations. Social Media Volunteers volunteer alongside our Communications Officer, creating content that ensures information about the services Black Country Women’s Aid provide is widely available across communities. They help people connect with us online and learn more about how we help survivors cope and recover, alongside creating content and materials that educate people on challenging abuse and violence. Social Media Volunteers help BCWA further engage with the community and other sector partners. They collaborate with BCWA Service Managers and different teams to build content that effectively promotes services, events or fundraising drives. They think creatively, contributing their own ideas for content and bringing these to life.

Being a Social Media Volunteer might look like:

• Collaborating with BCWA staff to create content for BCWA communications
• Preparing materials for events, like leaflets and posters and keeping these organised
• Researching community groups, local organisations and other agencies for engagement
• Liaising with the Communications Officer to bring new content ideas to life
• Engaging with BCWA teams to promote events or fundraising drives
• Being an advocate for BCWA!

As a BCWA Social Media Volunteer, you’ll get:

• All the training you need to understand and be prepared for your role with us, so you can use your time with us to grow and learn!
• Regular check-ins and contact with our Volunteer Coordinator as an opportunity to catch up, reflect and feedback on your volunteering experience with us.

• Your travel to and from sessions expensed. Lunch paid for if you volunteer for 6 hours or more.

• a character reference from a person who knows you (no familial relations or partners)

The VOLUNTEER Opportunity

As a Fundraising Team Member, you will play a vital role in helping SUNSHINE grow from a bold idea into a thriving community charity.

You’ll help us tell the story of loneliness. You’ll help us show why SUNSHINE matters. And you’ll help us secure the support we need to launch our programmes, reach isolated people, and build communities of belonging.

Whether you’re experienced in fundraising or simply confident communicating, writing, or building relationships, you can make a powerful difference.

Your work will help ensure that no one in London has to face loneliness alone.

What You’ll Be Doing

Depending on your skills and interests, you may support:

• Researching and identifying potential funders, donors, and grant opportunities

• Writing compelling grant applications and funding proposals

• Helping craft persuasive fundraising messages, stories, and cases for support

• Reaching out to local businesses, community groups, and supporters

• Supporting small fundraising campaigns and appeals

• Helping develop fundraising materials, presentations, and pitches

• Assisting with donor stewardship and thank‑you communications

• Contributing creative ideas for raising seed funding

• Working closely with the CEO, trustees, and volunteers to build a sustainable income pipeline

You don’t need to do all of these — we’ll shape the role around your strengths.

Who We’re Looking For

You don’t need formal fundraising experience — though it’s a bonus. If you’re a strong communicator, a natural storyteller, or someone who enjoys building relationships, you already have the foundations.

We’re looking for someone who:

• Is passionate about tackling loneliness and building community

• Enjoys communicating with people and building connections

• Is confident reaching out to potential supporters

• Is reliable, proactive, and comfortable taking initiative

• Can work independently but also collaborate with a small team

• Is comfortable using email, online meetings, and basic digital tools

• Shares SUNSHINE’s values of kindness, inclusion, and joy

Experience in fundraising, sales, communications, marketing, grant writing, or partnership building is helpful — but not essential.

EPIC Entrepreneurs is one of the UK's fastest-growing not-for-profit organisations supporting young entrepreneurs aged 16-25 from disadvantaged and underrepresented backgrounds. Through mentoring, masterclasses, funding opportunities and business support, we help ambitious young people turn their ideas into sustainable businesses and careers.

About the Role

As an EPIC Mentor, you'll be matched with one or more young entrepreneurs and provide guidance, encouragement and practical advice as they develop their business ideas and entrepreneurial skills.

Mentoring sessions are delivered remotely, allowing you to support entrepreneurs from anywhere in the UK.

We are looking for a qualified finance professional, ideally a chartered accountant. You will support financial oversight, planning, reporting, and long term financial sustainability.

What you will do as a Trustee

As a Trustee, you will help guide the strategic direction of Afrocats and ensure we remain financially sustainable, well governed, and aligned with our mission. You will contribute to decision making at Board level, support risk and compliance oversight, and help ensure our work continues to centre creativity, wellbeing, and community impact.

You will also act as an ambassador for Afrocats, helping to champion our work and values across your networks and beyond.
