As an Events Team Member, you will be one of the friendly faces of SUNSHINE — helping us run small community events, attend local fairs and festivals, staff our stalls, and engage warmly with the public.

Designated Safeguarding Lead

AuDHD UK

Location: Remote (UK-based)

Reports to: CEO/COO

Commitment: Flexible, part-time (details negotiable)

Role: Unpaid volunteer position

Purpose: To ensure AuDHD UK upholds the highest safeguarding standards, protecting children, young people, and adults at risk. The DSL will oversee safeguarding policies, training, compliance, and case management across the organisation.

The DSL position does not require daily volunteering, but would require timely responses from queries raised by the safeguarding team. 

As a Key Staff member within AuDHD UK, the DSL will be required to provide weekly updates to the COO/CEO regarding safeguarding case management of beneficiaries using AuDHD UK services and are expected to be able to ensure the wider safeguarding team feel supported in their roles. Ideal candidates would be free on Wednesdays at 12-1pm to attend our weekly Key Staff meetings, although this is not essential if the right candidate is unavailable during this time. 

This role requires an Enhanced Adult DBS - please only apply if you meet the requirements for a DBS check to be carried out (a 5 year UK address history with a maximum of 12 months abroad AND a biometric passport/ID card for an online ID check). 

Key Responsibilities

Safeguarding Case Management

• Act as the central point of contact for safeguarding concerns and external escalations.

• Respond to incidents and provide clear advice to staff and volunteers.

• Manage referrals and liaise with statutory agencies when needed.

Risk Assessment & Policy Oversight

• Lead on risk assessments and ensure proportionate responses to concerns.

• Review and update AuDHD UK’s Safeguarding Framework and related policies.

• Ensure safeguarding pathways are clear, accessible, and consistently followed.

Compliance & Governance

• Monitor compliance with safeguarding legislation and guidance.

• Maintain accurate and confidential safeguarding records.

• Contribute to audits, reviews, and continuous improvement activities.

Training & Awareness

• Deliver in-house safeguarding training for all staff and volunteers.

• Promote a culture of vigilance, accountability, and reflective practice.

Collaboration & Leadership

• Work with the CEO, COO, trustees, Clinical Lead, and Care Coordinator to align safeguarding with organisational goals.

• Bring safeguarding expertise into strategic planning and service design.

Essential Skills & Attributes

• Recognised safeguarding training or substantial safeguarding experience.

• Strong knowledge of safeguarding law, statutory guidance, and best practice.

• Sound judgment, discretion, and empathy in complex situations.

• Clear written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond appropriately to sensitive cases.

• Commitment to AuDHD UK’s mission and values.

• Lived experience of AuDHD (desired).

Time Commitment Estimate

• Safeguarding case management including external escalations : 2–4 hrs/week (variable depending on incidents)

• Risk assessment external escalation: 1-3 hours a week (this may be increased at times of increased activity within the charity e.g. before the beginning of Peer Support Cohort assignments

• Policy framework updates: 4–6 hrs/quarter

• Training and team awareness: 2–3 hrs/quarter

• Safeguarding audits, governance, and meetings: 2–4 hrs/quarter

What You’ll Be Doing

• Designing and helping deliver a range of community activities that reduce loneliness

• Setting up new programmes from scratch — from planning to launch

• Coordinating sessions, venues, volunteers, and logistics

• Welcoming participants and creating a warm, inclusive atmosphere

• Building relationships with local partners, groups, and community spaces

• Supporting volunteers involved in programme delivery

• Gathering feedback to help shape and improve activities

• Helping develop programme processes, safety measures, and best practice

• Working closely with trustees, volunteers, and the CEO

TVS is a small, volunteer-led charity dedicated to working with rural schools in South Africa, aiming to empower vulnerable children through education.  We are recruiting a team of volunteers to work with our trustees to help us to continue our work to transform lives. If you are passionate about building relationships and driving positive change, you could make a significant impact as a volunteer Corporate Partnerships Officer, helping our charity connect with businesses, develop collaborative projects, and secure crucial support for our cause.

In this role you would advise our board on developing strategies and take on a variety of responsibilities such as

Conducting prospect research to identify potential corporate partners

We train peers to deliver digital, life-skills, menstrual support and career programmes that mobilize communities.​

Programme Design and Development Lead

• Design and develop new Youth On The Rise initiatives and programmes
• Conduct research on youth needs, emerging trends, and best practices
• Create programme concepts, implementation plans, and participant journeys
• Develop training outlines, mentorship structures, workshops, and learning materials
• Design monitoring and evaluation frameworks to measure programme success
• Work with the Operations and Strategy Lead to ensure programmes are realistic and scalable
• Support pilot projects and recommend improvements based on feedback
• Document programme models and processes for future growth

The e-Assessment Association (eAA) is the leading professional membership body promoting better assessment through technology. We bring together awarding organisations, education providers, technology suppliers, researchers and policymakers to advance high-quality, innovative assessment practice in the UK and internationally.

We are now seeking a new Chair of the Board to lead the next phase of the Association’s development.

This is a high-impact governance role for an experienced senior leader who is passionate about assessment, education and technology, and who enjoys working collaboratively to make a difference across a complex and evolving sector.

Why this role matters

The Chair plays a pivotal role in shaping the direction, influence and effectiveness of the eAA.

Working with a committed Board of Directors and a small, professional operational team, the Chair provides strategic leadership, ensures strong governance, and acts as an ambassador for the Association and its members.

The Chair of the eAA Limited also serves as Chair of the Board of e-Assessment Services Limited, the Association’s trading subsidiary, supporting the sustainability and growth of the organisation.

This is an opportunity to:

• lead a respected, member-led organisation at the forefront of digital assessment;
• influence policy, practice and debate across assessment and education technology;
• support the continued professionalisation and growth of the Association; and
• work with a knowledgeable, engaged Board and an experienced executive team.

The role is supported by an annual honorarium of £6,000 in recognition of the time commitment and responsibility involved.

What you’ll be doing

As Chair, you will:

Provide strategic leadership

• Lead the Board in setting the strategic direction of the Association and monitoring progress against agreed objectives.
• Support the long-term sustainability, relevance and impact of the eAA.

Ensure strong governance

Ensure the Association operates within its governance framework and complies with all statutory and fiduciary duties.
Foster a positive, inclusive and professional Board culture that encourages open discussion, diverse perspectives and collective decision-making.
Work closely with the Vice-Chair and other Directors to maintain continuity and effective governance processes.
Support and challenge the Executive

• Provide support, guidance and constructive challenge to the CEO and operations team.
• Oversee performance against strategic and operational goals.
• Review budgets, management accounts and strategic plans in collaboration with the Treasurer and executive team.

Represent and advocate

• Act as an ambassador for the Association with members, partners, sponsors and external stakeholders.
• Represent the eAA at key events, including the e-Assessment International Conference and Awards.
• Use your networks and credibility to enhance the Association’s profile and influence.

Essential experience and attributes

• Senior leadership experience within assessment, education or educational technology.
• A strong understanding of assessment principles and the role of technology in transforming assessment practice.
• Demonstrated Board-level governance experience, ideally within a company limited by guarantee, charity or membership organisation.
• Excellent chairing and facilitation skills, with the ability to lead a diverse Board effectively.
• Strategic thinking, integrity and the confidence to provide constructive challenge.
• Strong communication and ambassadorial skills.

Desirable

• Experience of working in or alongside professional associations or member-led organisations.
• Established networks across education, assessment and technology sectors.
• Experience representing an organisation publicly at conferences or sector events.

Business Services UK Integrity Trust is a governance and verification organisation working to protect diaspora families, landowners, and vulnerable communities across Africa and the United Kingdom. We provide independent verification, document protection, and digital identity services to reduce fraud, strengthen trust, and support cross‑border integrity.

We are seeking a United Kingdom‑based trustee with experience in blockchain, digital identity, or distributed ledger technologies to support our proof‑of‑concept phase.

Role Purpose

To provide light governance oversight, technical guidance, and strategic input on the use of blockchain and digital identity systems within our verification framework.

Time Commitment

• Approximately 3 to 4 hours per month
• Remote meetings
• Flexible involvement

VOLUNTEER BRANCH CHAIR/COORDINATOR

Across the UK, our 60+ local branches help disabled people live the lives they choose. Our network of skilled volunteers respond to thousands of requests each year to design and make customised equipment free of charge.

As your local Chair or Coordinator, you’ll take the lead in making sure your local branch works as effectively as possible. You’ll recruit, induct, and support other branch volunteers to make sure your branch’s activities meet the needs of your local disabled community.

You’ll bring your leadership, communication, organisation, and motivational skills to this role.

What the role involves

This is a varied role where local need shapes what you’ll be working on, but it often includes:

•  Coordinating the activities of our local branch to undertake and meet the needs of  referrals in your area

• Coordinating and chairing the branch meetings

• Leading the branch’s shared responsibility for planning and completing referrals

• Coordinating the recruitment, induction, and ongoing support of new local branch volunteers

• Working with your Treasurer or Finance Officer to approve branch accounts

• Ensuring the branch’s activities comply with policies to keep people safe

• Regularly communicate and act as a key contact between staff and volunteers

What you’ll need for this role

Essential

• Confident in leading and chairing a meeting

• Confident using Microsoft Office, the internet and email

• Willingness to attend local events to promote the charity’s work

• Ability to understand and follow external and internal policies and procedures

• Able to keep people’s personal details safe
