Job description

Make a difference in 2019

Brighten up George's week and help him exercise locally

Our member George is a very interesting man with a lot of different hobbies and interests. He has a keen interest in historical places, transport and people and used to like making his own beers and wine. Since the decline in George's sight and hearing he struggles to enjoy his hobbies and get out by himself, he now spends most of his time at home. He is now looking for someone to help him get out for some much needed exercise and would like to walk around the local area and go on the occasional outing/coffee morning/group meet-up.  He is very easy to get on with and very easy going. Even though he has lost some of his sight and hearing he still has a high quality of life but the missing link is regular access to the community.

George would love to find a friendly volunteer befriender with similar interests and hobbies to have a good conversation and on nicer days go out and about locally maybe visiting local historical buildings and places of interest. George will need guiding when walking outside, but full training will be provided, George communicates with clear speech.

Do you enjoy the great outdoors in Bristol? Join George and enjoy some fresh air..... apply today!
