Afghan Association Paiwand is a registered charity and community organisation helping migrants, asylum seekers and refugees in North West London. We provide a range of services - such as legal and immigration advice, educational courses and psychological support - to improve the quality of our community’s life in its new homeland.  

We are looking for volunteers to assist us with Administrative tasks. No formal experience required – all you need is a positive 'can-do' attitude. 

Purpose: Assist with day-to-day office duties. 

Location: This is an office-based role at our headquarters located in Edgware 

Time commitment: We politely ask for a minimum commitment of 2 days per week (Tuesdays and Fridays) 

Key responsibilities will include: 

  • Helping with the day-to-day running of the office 

  • General office duties – e.g., organising, scanning and editing files 

  • Providing administrative support - e.g., managing the diary, setting up and arranging meetings 

  • Reception duties - including greeting visitors and answering call/e-mails 

Experience and Skills required: 

  • Ability to work independently and process tasks efficiently 

  • Working as part of a small team, you’ll need to be flexible and able to multitask 

  • Good organisational skills, attention to detail, and a sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office 

  • Capability to identify key questions that enable us to clarify requirements
