Outline of the role

We are looking for a friendly, sociable and patient individual with a history of working within IT/tech or a broad knowledge of IT, computers and other devices such as I pads to support those over 50 with gaining confidence in using their devices and computers.

Our informal one to one sessions with clients take place on a weekly basis and can cover anything from setting up a new device to learning how to use basic programs such as Microsoft word or getting online and using email/video calls/internet shopping etc.

The clients will either bring their own devices or we will provide our volunteer with a laptop and equipment needed to carry out the role.

Sessions take place on Wednesday mornings at The Discovery Centre Library in Festival Place. (parking expenses covered)
