voluntary post
Job description

The Apart of Me award winning digital therapeutic game helps young people to cope with grief.  We want to reach further and are currently translating the app into several languages, including German.

What will you be doing?

As a native German speaker, you will join our team to review and proofread our newly translated text.  We want to make sure that the copywriting is well constructed, clear and has the right tone for our new German speaking users so that we can improve our impact, and reach more bereaved young people who really need our service. You will be working remotely, choosing your own working hours, to carefully read the text and amend where necessary.

We have an enthusiastic and dedicated team working on this project, and you will be given support and guidance.

What are we looking for?

You have excellent comprehension and written skills, with an understanding of tone of voice and sensitivity in writing to ensure that the copy is suitable and appropriate for our users.

You will have an eye for detail and the patience to review every word and phrase our translators have created.

What difference will you make?

The Apart of Me therapeutic game is at the heart of our service to help young people transform their personal grief into compassionate action in the world. It is totally unique and at present is only available to English speaking youngsters.

It is part of our mission to reach out further so  we are now preparing this new arm to our service to improve our impact, and reach more bereaved young people who really need it.

Our first new users will be German speaking and we are almost there to help them, but it is so important that the language used is correct.  That is where you will make such a difference. As a  proofreader, you will ensure that we meet that standard.
