ARTSPACE BRIGHTON IS LOOKING TO RECRUIT TRUSTEES TO JOIN THE EXISTING BOARD
Artspace is looking to increase its Trustee Board membership to expand the expertise of the Board and to replace a valued Board member who has left. We are particularly interested in applicants who have an arts background and an interest in mental health.
The charity Artspace Brighton was set up in 2013 and was given charitable status in 2017. It is an independent volunteer led, person centred organisation where all parties involved are included in the direction and progression of the organisations aims. Its purpose is to provide a stable and supportive space for adults with experience of mental health issues to develop their interest in art making.
The board of trustees guide and advise senior staff. Governance decisions are made during quarterly meetings with senior staff and occasional meetings held to address specific issues. Meetings are held in central Brighton. Trustees are contactable for advice and guidance on all matters.
Trustees are volunteers – Artspace does not currently have any paid staff members. If you would like an informal discussion about the role please contact Rosie Sauvage, Voluntary Operations Manager.
