We are a new and ambitious charity, determined to transform perceptions of autism, and to make it possible for those with the condition to live to their true and impressive potential. Our initial focus is on early intervention and an awareness campaign to alert people to its importance. This will lead to our opening a specialised early intervention clinic in 2019 or 2020, and to our establishing a comprehensive online portal to offer guidance, support and community to anyone looking after an autistic child. For more about us - including a TED talk on our approach given by our CEO a few months ago - please visit our profile by clicking on our name in the title section of this ad, or by going to our website.
We are seeking people who have a very good understanding of autism, either through their own experience working with autistic children (professionally, in the education system, or simply with their own children), or through academic or research work.
These volunteers will input into the charity's direction in relation to autism (we are also looking for one well-respected specialist to sit on our Trustee board). They will verify the messaging of our early intervention awareness campaign, sense-check our other output (including the articles on our site), and may sit on a new Advisory Board to the charity.
As this is such a critical role, and as we are a strongly values-driven organisation, we are also seeking someone who deeply resonates with our purpose and our values, which are outlined in our profile. The full list of our values can be found in the attachment below.
The client requests no contact from agencies or media sales.
