Join Bowel & Cancer Research Team on Sunday 28th April for an exciting day of sport and great fun. We will be on hand to support our dedicated runners. Our runners have been training and raising money for months and we would like to show them how much we value and appreciate all their hard work.
We are looking for volunteers able to help throughout the day from 9-5pm.
Anyone who is keen on supporting us is very welcomed to come along and join us also for just a few hours.
If you are only available for a couple of hours during these time slots, we’d still love to have you help us cheer on our amazing runners. We look forward to you joining us at this fantastic event!
If you have never been to London Marathon you are in for a treat! The atmosphere is amazing and it truly is one of the most inspiring events of the year, I promise you will enjoy yourself.
What are we looking for?
A Commitment to be Friendly, Fun, Enthusiastic and Loud!
We will be setting up in the usual spot near Shadwell/Wapping station with our banners both sides of the road but we will be stood on the same side as the McDonalds. So once the road is closed off, the best way to get to us will be walking up from Wapping station. More details and a map will be sent before the date.
Bear in mind transport is likely to be busier than normal as it’s an event day. There will be road closures for the route.
If you have a friends or family who would also like to join, then we’d love to welcome them to the group too- the more the merrier.
For anyone who fancies staying for a drink after the marathon, at the end of the day we will re-group with runners and go for a chat and some relaxing time at the pub.
