Job description

Would you enjoy working with young people, sharing simple skills to build resilience to crisis in their local community?

We are looking for people who are positive about young people and believe that they can make a difference. The workshops we deliver enable children and young people to understand, cope with and respond to crisis. The workshops cover a range of topics including first aid, empathy, migration and more.

Our volunteers will be based at home, delivering short on-line workshops for groups of young people aged 10 - 19. We are looking for people who are available for either one morning, or one afternoon workshop a week and able to volunteer in the role for at least 6 months. You will need access to a reliable internet connection and a computer or laptop (we are unable to provide equipment for you).

Our workshops enable young people to develop an understanding of their community. You will support them to develop mutual respect, build their confidence and willingness to help others. If you have previous experience that's great, but we can give full training and support if you are passionate about this and want to get involved.

**Health and Safety Statement ** We take an individual approach to ensuring your safety.

We may ask you to complete a simple risk assessment. We will also have a conversation with you to discuss any restrictions that may still be in place in your region and identify any adjustments you may need.

This role is not exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. All successful applicants are asked to sign a criminal record declaration appropriate for the role.
