Borderline Support UK CIC are a small non-profit organisation made up entirely of volunteers. We work to support people with borderline personality disorder through peer support groups, signposting, and more.
Lived experience isn’t necessary for this post, but it would be an advantage.
We are currently looking for enthusiastic and passionate Research Assistants who can dedicate a few hours a month to work on projects with Borderline Support UK. We aren’t looking for people with buckets of experience (although please apply if you do!), so no matter your experience we’d like to hear from you. The more Lived Experience voices we have on our team, the better!

We are starting up the Blossoming Tree, a compassionate not-for-profit dedicated to providing youth counselling, advice, and support services, and we're currently seeking a passionate and dedicated volunteer who can join us in the voluntary role of Service Manager.
This vital role will offer invaluable assistance during the pivotal startup phase of our charity. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in helping us lay the groundwork for a service that promises to make a significant difference in the lives of young people across London and beyond.

We are especially interested in a volunteer Service Manager who has the following skills;
- Service Management Experience (Knowledge of service practices and principles, and experience in managing services).

- Communication Skills (Strong interpersonal skills to handle sensitive information and interact with young people, volunteers and stakeholders of all levels).
- Organisational Skills (Proficiency in creating and organising records, schedules, and maintaining confidentiality of personnel data).
- Strategic Thinking (Capacity to develop and implement strategies that align with the charity’s goals).
- Empathy and Understanding (A deep understanding of the challenges faced by youth, to foster a supportive environment for young people).

We’re looking for a further 12 admin volunteers to help with our daily operations. We have a variety of ways you can get involved:
- Responding to client requests and enquiries
- Managing and updating company databases
- Keeping track of partnership enquiries
- Maintaining internal, volunteer, and client records
- Drafting and mailing client correspondence and newsletters
- Organising events, scheduling meetings, and making travel arrangements
- Providing administrative support to other departments or projects as needed
- Performing other duties as agreed in advance
We’ve designed our volunteering programme to be flexible and adaptive to you. All volunteering is 100% remote and you’re supported fully by our team. You control what you do and how many hours per week you want to volunteer. Some roles may require an Enhanced DBS check. If your application is successful, we will ask for a donation towards the cost of your enhanced DBS check if it's required for your role. This cost is £20.60.

How much time can you give?

Training
We provide CPD accredited training with 3 short courses needing to be completed prior starting your volunteer role. After, you’ll have access to over 90 CPD accredited courses should you want to study further.

Share Psychotherapy is a long-standing psychotherapy charity providing long term, low cost therapy. We specifically aim to help people who cannot afford or cannot access therapy elsewhere. Share Psychotherapy is one of Sheffield’s leading mental health charities. Established for over 40 years we offer medium to long term therapy at nominal fees, primarily to people on low incomes. We therefore work at the vital intersection of psychological distress & poverty in the city, providing high quality, long term therapy to people who could not otherwise obtain such help, especially those on low incomes.
Our clients are often experiencing serious mental and emotional distress, through anxiety, depression, difficulty with relationships or traumatic life events.
We are part way through a change process at Share - developing and strengthening our clinical services, improving our administrative and business systems and strengthening our financial position. We’re looking for a suitably qualified accountant to join us as our Treasurer, taking the lead on financial matters but also playing a full role on the Board of Trustees in the overall management of the charity.
The role would suit an experienced accountant wishing to contribute on a voluntary basis to a valuable charitable cause. Equally it would provide excellent board level experience for a young professional at an earlier stage in their career.
We have strong clinical services, administrative and business systems in place and continue to seek to increase and diversify our income. We want to make an even bigger contribution to improving mental health in Sheffield and we’re especially keen to attract people from minority communities to the Board.

About Our Steering Group
The Advocacy & Advice Steering Group will be made up of an initial nine young people aged 15-25 from across the UK who will work with clinicians and the team at A Little Bit of Sunshine UK to create guidance and resources to help other young people with their mental health. You must be aged 15-25 to apply for this opportunity as you may be required to travel to events.
Our Steering Group members will be our young leaders overseeing our projects and programmes within the charity! Through taking part in discussions, workshops, and meetings you will learn more about mental health and help to design resources and projects to improve services for young people in your community.
The core role of the group is to support our Advocacy & Advice projects, make strategic and informed decisions and represent young people in their communities. The steering group will help us to design and deliver projects and programmes, hold leaders and the charity’s staff to account for the performance of projects and ensure that their participants and stakeholders are heard and valued throughout the charity’s work.
About A Little Bit of Sunshine UK
ALBOS UK is a youth-led registered charity working to support and empower young people to engage with decision-makers to improve the quality of support services available to them.
We co-lead outreach projects and forums to gather young people’s views alongside a team of young, lived experience changemakers. We help to integrate youth voice into service design and provision, ensuring young people’s core needs are at the forefront of the services they access.

You will play a vital role in making sure that Dawn Sailing Barge Trust Ltd. achieves its
core purpose. Oversee the management and administration of the charity, ensuring that
DSBT has a clear strategy and that our work and goals are in-line with our vision. Support
and challenge the executive team to enable DSBT to grow, thrive and achieve our mission.
Personal Skills & Qualities
A proven experience of financial management , fundraising, project management,
strategic planning, and general management would be welcomed.
A working knowledge of management within the CVS/Wellbeing sector would be
particularly beneficial.
We are looking for people willing to bring energy, enthusiasm and commitment to the role;

The Trust - Brief History
The Dawn Sailing Barge Trust was formed in 1996 when her old skipper could not bear the thought of his barge being left to rot where she sat in Hoo alongside others she had traded with for nearly 100 years.
The aim of the Trust was to secure ownership, raise funds, return her to her home port of Maldon, restore and protect.
All of the above was achieved and SB Dawn is good for another 100 years.
Now it’s time for Dawn to get to work and play her part in helping give others a new horizon to aim for.
The Trust - Present
The DAWN Trust believes it has identified how its maritime heritage can now be employed to serve the more isolated coastal communities along the Essex Coast & Rivers.
This would be achieved by providing a dependable, regular and scheduled facility to be exploited as a community hub, for use by agencies specialising in wellbeing, with a particular focus on men’s wellbeing.
The DAWN would berth for up to five days within each participating community, revisiting each port regularly all year round; offering the opportunity for social programmes designed to engage those seeking social interaction and support.
This project has received funding from the Heritage Lottery enabling it to become one step closer to a reality.
The Trust - Present
Sustainable Propulsion
The DAWN TRUST is engaged with a major regional University to design and develop an integrated electric propulsion system that allows the boat to be operated electrically when wind is not available. The DAWN will act as a floating test bench for students to actively engage in developing the operating algorithms required, and components employed. It is anticipated that the developed systems will be marketed commercially through a joint venture. This project will be launched in Q3 2024.
Cargo of Hope
With the experience gained providing a community hub for Essex coastal communities, (through partnering with local CVS providers) , it is proposed to create an intermediary CIC company to engage with other local CVS agencies to provide similar services to other coastal communities in the Thames Estuary. This project will be launched in Q2 2025

Do you want to make a difference to the lives of local people with mental health conditions? We are looking for two new Trustees who can think strategically and complement the existing Board.
Mental Health Resource is a well-established, independent charity based in Tunbridge Wells, Kent. Our aim is to improve mental wellbeing in our community by enabling people to feel supported and valued, providing opportunities for social connections and by raising awareness of mental health. We deliver high quality and effective services across West Kent providing safe spaces and person-centred mental health support.
We provide comprehensive services with both a focus on short term and long-term mental health support, enabling people to access our projects for as longs as they want or need support. Our beneficiaries have complex and enduring mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, self-harming, psychosis, schizophrenia and bi-polar and, on average, we work with over 900 adults and young people each year.
About the Trustee roles
You would be working with other trustees who have different skills, knowledge and experience. It's an interesting role in which you can help formulate ideas about how we as an organisation can best address the challenges and opportunities that exist in an increasingly complex and changing environment.
We would love to hear from you if you have a true interest in helping to improve the lives of those with mental health conditions in our community, and especially if you have skills or experience in the delivery or commissioning of mental health services or legal skills. No experience of being a trustee is necessary.
You would be expected to attend and participate in six Board meetings per year which are held via Teams/Zoom and last 2-3 hrs. The Board is also supported by two sub-committees: Finance and Risk and Marketing and Fundraising, which meet four times a year, and trustees are encouraged to also be a member of one of the sub-committees.
