Job title: Charity Treasurer – voluntary role

Use your professional finance qualifications, experience and skills as Treasurer for Citizens Advice Bracknell and District at a time of significant and exciting change.
As Treasurer you will develop the charity’s finance strategy and policies and make sure our finances and supporting controls are in order, as well as supporting our income generation objectives. You will be part of a team committed to delivering a valued and nationally recognised service to the people in our community who need help in their day to day lives.
Your expertise and qualifications:
Your financial qualifications and relevant experience of financial management at a senior level are essential and should be combined with an ability to analyse proposals and examine their financial consequences.
An understanding of charity finances and an understanding of financial models and structures would be an advantage, but is not essential.
In addition you will bring
- A strong and visible passion and commitment to the charity, its strategic objectives and cause.
- A willingness and ability to devote the necessary time and effort to the role, ensuring that the Board can review options and make informed choices.
- A willingness to be available to the CEO and Board for advice and guidance and to ensure sound accounting and financial reporting disciplines are followed.
- The ability to be objective and impartial and to be prepared, when necessary, to make unpopular recommendations to the Board.
