Job Description

RefuAid is a dynamic charity that focuses on refugees access to employment and education in the UK. Our programs provide those throughout the UK with asylum with the platform to gain an English language qualification, requalify in a previous profession and/or apply to university.

We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to live an independent, dignified life.

As a community research and admin volunteer you will support the RefuAid: Language A Gateway project. You will be expected to assist on this large project and take the initiative to ensure we offer the best possible pathway for those on our programs.

Work will include, but is not limited to, researching education and/or employment pathways for applicants to our programmes, contacting colleges and education providers and working closely with the rest of the team to ensure that we are meeting all recipients need.

We are looking for a volunteer who:

  • Has a passion for supporting those seeking or who have sought asylum in the UK.
  • Is committed to sourcing the best possible access to education and employment for those we work with.
  • Is personable, consistent and empathetic.
  • Has a creative and flexible approach.

We are looking for someone to start from the 1st of April, interviews will be held on a rolling basis.

To apply please send us a CV and one paragraph about why you want to volunteer.
