Are you a gaming fan? We are looking for a Volunteer Befriender who is a gamer who can meet regularly with an outgoing young gentleman with mild Learning Disabilities to play two player X-box and PlayStation games. Our volunteer will need to be confident in playing X-box and PlayStation games. We are also looking for someone chatty who will develop a friendship.
We support our volunteers with an Induction, training for the role, a named volunteer supervisor, a monthly newsletter and a monthly online peer support group.
Volunteer Duties:
- Meet regularly to play computer games.
- Follow safeguarding procedures, and report any concerns
- Develop a friendship and enjoy conversations together.
As a volunteer with Creative Support we offer training for your role, access to a volunteer supervisor, an induction, a monthly Volunteer newsletter, and an online volunteer’s peer support group. Together we can make a difference.
