How to apply
Pay a visit to Carol and brighten up her week
Our member, Carol, is 93 years old and lives alone in the Bristol area. Due to her combined sight and hearing loss, she is spending all of her time alone at home and is increasingly feeling more and more lonely and cut off from her local community.
Carol is looking for someone to visit her on a weekly basis ideally on a Monday, Saturday or Sunday morning. She simply would like some regular company, someone to chat to and possibly go to the local shops with. Carol really enjoys have a good old chat but has little opportunity to do so as she has little family, only a niece. She enjoys listening to the TV and radio and is interested in gardening and reminiscing about her life (she loved dancing when she was younger). Having someone to talk to would make a huge difference to her life.
Carol uses a walking stick and would require guiding when outside the home should you venture out. Full training will be given around this but no other experience is required - simply a warm heart and the ability to chat and listen.
Be the change Carol so badly needs and apply today......
