Make a difference today!
Donald's feeling lonely - why not visit and bring a smile to his face?
Our member Donald is 85 years old and used to love painting, he now lives on his own and due to his sight and hearing loss finds it hard to get out of the house and do all the things he used to love to do. Donald unfortunately has some mobility issues which means he has had to give up beloved painting and now not getting out much has meant he has become very lonely and isolated and feels cut off from the local community.
Donald would love to find a volunteer companion to visit him once a week for a chat and a cup of tea, hes flexible with days but afternoons would be preferable. Donald is very hard of hearing but can read lips very well and his speech is extremely clear, he doesn't need guiding as he has good residual vision,
