How to apply
Make a difference today!
Our member, Rana, lives alone in Haringey and has family living very close by.
Rana used to be a university lecturer in Linguistics. A native Egyptian, she moved to the United Kingdom to study and ended up staying. She speaks both fluent English and Arabic and enjoys listening to the news and knowing what’s happening around her local area. A lover of learning she can get a little frustrated when not able to get things the first time and currently has an iPhone 7 which she needs help with, after transferring from an older Samsung device.
Rana would like a volunteer to come over for a visit, have a chat and help her continue learning how to use her iPhone any time on a Thursday. As she is registered blind, clear speech is important alongside some knowledge of IT. Ideally, you will be someone who has some patience and some knowledge of apple eco system. No other experience is required just a warm, friendly manner and the ability to chat and listen.
If you have a couple of hours to spare each week, why not apply and make a difference!
