Do you enjoy going for a spot of crabbing?

 

A gentleman we support in Low Coniscliffe has a keen interest in crabbing and would like a volunteer buddy to enjoy this hobby together.

 

If you know the top spots in Whitby to go crabbing and would like to share your passion, please get in touch!


Activities will include:

  • Chatting and getting to know your new buddy
  • A walk along the beach together
  • Sharing your interests and going crabbing

 

You would be accompanied by a member of his support staff during your volunteering activities together.

 

Activities will NOT include: Personal care, medication or financial assistance.

 

We are looking for a volunteer who is:

  • Enthusiastic, with good knowledge about crabbing
  • Able to answer general questions about crabbing and share skills relating to crabbing
  • Friendly, chatty and a good listener
  • Reliable/dependable and willing to commit to volunteer regularly (exact times/days can be discussed)

 

Two character references and a photo ID check will be required for this role.
