Do you enjoy sports and being out and about?


Would you like to be a buddy with a gentleman we support in Derby?


“N” loves watching sports such as football, F1, snooker and especially cricket.  Other interests include video games, vintage trains, history, geography and being out and about for trips to the park and the shops!

“N” has a lovely personality, with an excellent sense of humour and he would love a buddy to share his interests with.  So, if you would like to volunteer and make a lovely friend along the way, we would love to hear from you!


Activities will include:

  • Enjoying sports together, including going to cricket and football matches (when possible)
  • Providing chat, company, friendship and fun.
  • Socialising and going out together, to the shops, local parks and other fun activities in the local area


Activities will NOT include: Personal care, medication or financial assistance.


We are looking for someone who is:

  • Friendly, sociable and enthusiastic
  • A sports enthusiast!
  • Happy to chat about shared interests
  • Comfortable chatting with people with learning disabilities and autism.
  • Reliable and willing to commit to volunteer regularly (exact times/days can be agreed)
  • Comfortable with using either phone or video calls (eg Teams, Zoom) when face to face contact isn’t possible.


A DBS check and two character references will be required for this role.
