Since 1963, Hansel has been focused on breaking down barriers faced by people with additional support needs, creating inclusive environments, opportunities, and choices to enable people living in Ayrshire to live independent and fulfilling lives.
Their mission is to ensure they deliver empowering support, so every person feels included and experiences equality, choice, dignity, compassion, and respect. They are a leading social care charity with a unique organisational structure placing innovation and passion at the forefront of delivering real change through a range of services and opportunities for the people that they work for.
Hansel continues to operate within a difficult care sector environment. Pressures on workforce recruitment and retention present a national challenge for the Scottish Government to fund Fair Work, that rewards care practitioners appropriately and safeguards the delivery of critical services for vulnerable people living within our communities. Nevertheless, their Board of Directors see potential for Hansel to thrive as a local care and support provider operating within Ayrshire, with strong relationships in place with local stakeholders, including their health and social care partnership service commissioners and funders.
Hansel are now looking to recruit 3 new Trustees to join their board at this time as they embark on ambitious plans to invest in their service infrastructure and expand their reach as a care and support provider for people living with additional support needs.
We are looking for Board Members with a range of skillsets such as: finance/accounting, legal, fundraising, marketing, and professional services for the building/construction industry. Hansel welcome applications from individuals with experience of being a carer in any capacity.
If you are interested in working alongside like-minded people looking to enhance life choices for individuals, this could be a great opportunity for you.
