ELOP’s dedicated LGBT centre runs a variety of services provided by and for LGBT communities including; counselling, mental health crisis prevention, social, support and wellbeing groups, meet-up and community events amongst other.
Joining our reception team you will be part of an enthusiastic and dedicated team who are the face of ELOP, welcoming and greeting our service users, communicating with staff and volunteers and carrying out basic reception and administrative tasks including; preparing room bookings, taking payments, directing service users to sessions, setting up rooms, photocopying, and answering phone calls etc. There are additional opportunities to support service promotion.
What we are looking for in a reception volunteer is someone who is professional, welcoming, organised and has good communication skills. All necessary induction, training and role support is provided.
Respecting diversity, understanding and upholding professional boundaries and confidentiality are fundamental to all of our work and you will be required to uphold and support this.

We know life can be busy, but ask all reception volunteers to make a minimum 6-12 month commitment of around 3-5 hours a week.
