Job description

Brodsworth Hall stands in the centre of exquisite, award-winning gardens and welcomes thousands of visitors every year.  As one of the largest and busiest sites under our care, we rely on a dedicated team of incredible volunteers to help support us in welcoming all our visitors and bringing Brodsworth Hall to life.

As a Room Steward Volunteer at Brodsworth, your role will be to welcome and engage our visitors as they follow in the footsteps of the Hall’s previous owners.  Every room and object in the collection has a story to tell and our Room Stewards are vital in bringing it all to life.  Room Stewards are also important in protecting and safeguarding the Hall and its collection, stewarding rooms with vulnerable displays and maintaining visitor flow along the Hall’s corridors.

The role of Room Steward is ideal for someone who has a passion and an interest in history, heritage and historic collections.  We are looking for volunteers who are confident in engaging with the public and enjoy supporting within a team of fellow volunteers and staff team members.
