Job description

Trustee required for New Brixton E-Sports Youthclub

Estate E-sports are registering as a new charity and are looking for an additional founding Trustee.

We are setting up a twice weekly youth club provision in the Tulse Hill estate area of Brixton. We will be providing equipment and coaching with the aim of developing an E-Sports team that competes in tournaments, and also help to develop and hone the skills of keen young gamers of all skill levels.

E-sports is an increasingly popular hobby with young people but has a high cost of entry, barring access to it for many. Focusing on this will allow us to provide a youth club environment in a more compact space and appeal to a new generation of young people. Our intention is to set up over the summer and begin running the class from Autumn.

The two current trustees both live locally and work in the charity sector and the council respectively. Ideally we would like a Trustee to serve as our treasurer and have prior book keeping / accountancy skills. Our main priority however is to find someone enthusiastic and motivated who is willing to commit several hours a week initially and can be flexible with their schedule. We will look to hold interviews in the last week of May.
