THE TEAM

The advocacy team is an essential part of Fair Game as we look to increase our influence among politicians.

 

THE ROLE

Football is entering a now or never moment on its future. The incoming Independent Regulator and Football Bill represents a golden chance to change the game we love for the better. It is now in the hands of politicians. This role will play an essential part in shaping the direction of that debate in parliament.

You will work closely with our Director of Advocacy to help us hit our ambitious targets around political support.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

To identify, develop and build relationships with politicians

To write briefings for politicians

To work closely with the director of advocacy and attend weekly 30-minute meetings

To help coordinate a Working Group for one of the main three political parties

 

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR

Skills and qualifications

Understanding of how the UK Parliamentary and Governmental system works

Good writing skills (drafting briefings etc.)

Good networking skills

Good telephone manner

Ability to hit tight deadlines

DESIRABLE CRITERIA

Experience of working in a parliamentary context

Good connections within political parties
