The Role:
- Create Change: Work alongside senior managers to craft compelling funding bids to trusts and foundations, aiming to secure resources vital for high-quality advocacy support.
- Research and Write: Utilise your exceptional research and writing skills to identify potential funding opportunities and articulate the importance of our work.
- Collaborate for Success: Engage with our passionate team, coordinating efforts to ensure every application showcases the impact and value of advocating for those we support.
- Be an Advocate: Represent Partners in Advocacy as a positive ambassador, spreading awareness and fostering connections that benefit our advocacy partners and their communities.
We Are Looking For:
- Individuals aged 16+ with a zeal for human rights and wellbeing.
- A background in fundraising, marketing, policy advisory, or related fields is advantageous but not essential.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, creativity, and a keen ability to organise.
- Those with lived experience or a deep understanding of the sectors we support – including but not limited to independent advocacy services, children’s hearings, and support through social work or the NHS.

Standing Together Against Domestic Abuse (STADA) is recruiting 4 new trustees to be part of our friendly, passionate, professional Trustee Board.
What will you be doing?
As the strategic management body of STADA, Trustees have specific responsibilities. These include responsibility for setting its strategic direction and overseeing its implementation; identifying and mitigating risk and managing the charities’ resources responsibility; and ensuring that Standing Together remains true to its purpose.
Trustees are accountable for their decisions and actions to STADA’s governance structures, The Charity Commission, courts, partnership funders (including Central Government) and our service users.
The Board currently consists of 4 Trustees, all appointed based on individual areas of experience and expertise.

We are seeking enthusiastic and committed individuals from diverse backgrounds with a broad range of relevant skills and a variety of professional and personal experience to join our Board of Trustees. Off the Record is a well-established and respected support agency for children and young people’s mental health and emotional wellbeing. Founded in 1994, OTR supports young people aged 11-25 in Croydon, Sutton and Merton.
What will you be doing?

Person specification:
- Finance, clinical, legal and fundraising expertise with a minimum of three years of experience in the relevant field.
- Interest in mental health issues affecting children and young people and the communities where we operate.
- Commitment to the charity’s objectives, aims and values and willingness to devote time to carry out responsibilities.
- Strategic and forward-looking vision in relation to the charity’s objectives and aims.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for mental health advocacy and community well-being.

Time commitment:
The Board meets five times a year, collaborating with the Directors to oversee the strategic direction of the organisation as well as taking care of the Charity’s financial, legal and employment responsibilities. These in-person meetings are held in Croydon on Saturdays from 10:00 to 12:30. Additionally, trustees are encouraged to participate in two Charity days annually, held on Saturdays, where all staff get together (10:00 to 16:00 in April and October).
Some ad-hoc communications via email/telephone/Teams as required i.e., working on specific projects related to the trustees’ area of expertise. We estimate that this could be 3 – 6 hours a month.

Online Fundraising: Provide oversight and guidance of our online fundraising campaigns, including crowdfunding, peer-to-peer fundraising and digital marketing initiatives. Monitor campaign performance and adapt strategies as needed.
Budget Oversight: Collaborate with the finance committee to develop and manage the fundraising budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and adherence to financial goals.
Compliance and Reporting: Ensure that Focus’s fundraising activities comply with legal requirements.
Advocacy and Public Relations: Act as an ambassador for Focus Birmingham advocating for the rights and needs of adults with disabilities. Assist in developing public relations strategies to raise awareness and support for the cause.

Strategic experience: Proven track record in fundraising at a senior level, with a deep understanding of various fundraising methods, including grants, major gifts, events, and online campaigns.
Passion for the Cause: A strong commitment to improving the lives of people with care and support needs and a deep empathy for the challenges they face.
Strong Networks in Birmingham: A skilled networker with strong networks in Birmingham and wider West Midlands area.

Ridgegate Home was established in 1946. It is a charitable 23 bed residential care home for the elderly. It is a large, detached period building. The home is administered by a Board of Governors, who have an active role in running the home.
What will you be doing?
We currently have 3 trustee vacancies including Chair and Treasurer. The ideal candidates should have good leadership skills, organisational skills, people management skills and negotiation skills. The board meets 4 times per year to discuss the quarterly accounts, and update on operational and strategic matters. Interim meetings are held as required. The home’s registered manager communicates weekly regarding matters arising.

A background in Finance, HR, IT, Healthcare, Legal, Marketing or fundraising would be an advantage.
