We are looking for a volunteer to fill the role of Head of Community Services and Impact to join us at SUNSHINE. In this role, you will be responsible for creating, planning, development, and implementation of our community based activities, events and projects and measuring their impact on the community.
As our Head of Community Services and Impact, your main responsibilities will include:
- Lead on the creation, planning and development of our community based services, providing safe and supportive spaces to the community, especially those facing loneliness and social isolation.
- Lead, train and inspire local teams and volunteers whos goal is to deliver impactful services that truly meet the needs of people within their communities.
- As services evolve, guide teams through change, provide strategic direction, and ensures services are aligned with SUNSHINE's mission.
- Contribute to strategy development and lead on operational planning for community-based services.
- Ensure that services are inclusive and reflect the diversity of the communities we serve..
- Manage the performance and impact of our services, ensuring that we are evidencing the work we are doing and the impact we are making to peoples lives.
- Write grants and funding bids and support income generation for the work we do at SUNSHINE.
- Get involved in supporting organisation wide activities to ensure our success.
- Other duties relevant to the role of Head of Community Services and Impact.

As our Treasurer/Accountant, you’ll lead on the financial management and controls of SUNSHINE, including creating financial systems, processes and policies, lead on banking related matters and register SUNSHINE with HMRC for both Gift-Aid and also PAYE.
You will also act as a Trustee with passion, integrity, and a commitment to our cause. Your role will be pivotal in shaping our strategy, governance, and impact. You’ll collaborate with fellow trustees, volunteers, and our vibrant community. Together, we’ll create ripples of positivity that extend far beyond London.
You MUST have UK finance experience and an accounting qualification.

Crossroads Care Kent - Trustee Vacancies
We are looking for two new Trustees to join our established Board, bringing oversight, strategic scrutiny, and innovation with a mix of business skills and experience that make a real difference to this wonderful organisation.
With a new CEO in place supported by a highly motivated, caring workforce, and a Board with a wide range of experience, this is an exciting time to join the team to help steer it through its next stage of development.
Trustees are appointed on a voluntary basis, with all reasonable expenses reimbursed, and although this is an unpaid position there are many rewards and personal development opportunities from a fairly small commitment of time.

Crossroads Care Kent is the leading Carers Charity in Kent, delivering care and support for people living with the challenges of caring, unpaid, for a family member or friend. As a well-established Charity for over 40 years, we support over 6000 people across Kent every year and continue to make a positive input on the community.

We are looking for Trustees with:
· A connection to our purpose and values
· A strong commitment to the work of supporting and championing unpaid carers in Kent
· The ability to work at strategic level and offer advice from their field of expertise (see below)
· Great communication skills
· Willingness and ability to meet the time commitment required to fulfil a Trustee role
Experience: new Trustees will ideally have skills and experience in at least one of the following areas:
· Equality, diversity, and inclusion
· Third sector-specific experience
· Business development
· Income generation, fundraising, promotions
· Innovation and technology.
Time Commitment
· The Board meets six times a year, each meeting is usually 2-3 hours in duration
· Board meetings are held at our Wateringbury or Herne Bay office on an alternating basis
· Trustees receive papers to read ahead of each meeting to prepare for discussions
· Trustees may be required to respond to communications or attend meetings - ad hoc basis

Availability

Key responsibilities
· Work on your own in the Advice Centre welcoming visitors
· Be patient and empathetic to any visitors and call for an appropriate staff member to deal with the concern
· Answer incoming calls and transferring to appropriate member of staff
· Make calls on behalf of the staff, inviting carers to activities etc.
· Various administrative tasks such as photocopying and inputting data
· Input data onto charity log
· Help support outreach activity
· Help support fund raising activities
Specialist skills/training/knowledge
· Good communication and interpersonal skills to be able to talk to clients
· Good telephone and computer skills
· Show high standards of professional behaviour and appearance
· Be able to reach the venue via public transport or own transport (expenses will be paid)
