About Sounddelivery Media
Sounddelivery Media is a dynamic charity tackling injustice and inequality. We’re looking to strengthen our board by recruiting new Trustees to take us into the next stage of our development as an organisation.
Sounddelivery Media works alongside people with direct experience of social injustice and inequality to advocate for themselves and their communities publicly by providing training, support and media matches, media meet ups and media opportunities. We work to address representation and diversity of voice in the media, finding platforms for our networks and building long term trusted relationships with journalists.
About our Board of Trustees
Our trustees are volunteers who offer their time, knowledge and experience to oversee and guide the charity and its work. They also make sure Sounddelivery Media is financially sustainable, is run efficiently and professionally and operates within charitable law.
The Sounddelivery Media board meets at least four times a year. These meetings are sometimes face to face but mostly remote. Trustees are appointed for an initial three-year period; and may then be re-appointed for a further three years.
We can arrange training, mentoring and support for new trustees – no previous governance experience is required. As well as skills and experience, we want to hear from candidates who also have the passion, commitment, interest and enthusiasm to fulfil this vital role.
We are fully committed to ensuring it is as easy and comfortable as possible for skilled, talented people who have never previously participated in charity governance to be welcomed onto the Sounddelivery Media board and make a full and equal contribution. We can cover reasonable travel and accommodation expenses, data top-up vouchers and childcare costs to enable full participation.
Our existing board has strong experience in key areas including communication, fundraising, finance, governance and community action.

We would like to hear from candidates from a variety of professional backgrounds and with particular experience in fundraising. The role of International Board member is modestly remunerated, expenses for travel on Amnesty business are also reimbursed.

PROFILE
We are looking for ONE suitably qualified and motivated International Board Members with the following competencies:
-Fundraising
To succeed in this role, you will have a proven track record in either a senior executive management or governance role within a commercial or non-profit international organisation. Experience in the non-profit sector is welcomed but not essential.
Essential fundraising skills:
-Strategic vision: Experienced in developing fundraising plans and strategies to meet financial objectives and overseeing and approving fundraising strategies, plans and policies developed by others to ensure alignment with the organisation's mission and goals. Proficiency in fostering alignment between Board and management for optimal organisational performance, ideally in a Trustee, Board member or senior leadership role
-Financial acumen: Understanding of financial management and budgeting to ensure the responsible use of funds.
-Results-driven: Demonstrated ability to set and achieve fundraising targets and milestones. Experienced in reviewing data, assessing how effective fundraising activities are, monitoring and tracking results - receiving and reviewing reports and suggesting changes if needed.
-Adaptability: Capacity to adapt to changing fundraising landscapes and employ innovative approaches.
-Relationship building and donor stewardship: Proficient in cultivating and maintaining strong connections with donors, members, supporters and key stakeholders. Ability to implement effective stewardship practices to build lasting relationships with donors.
-Cross-cultural competence: Ability to navigate and collaborate with diverse stakeholders. Demonstrates a proactive commitment to fostering equality, diversity and inclusion.
-Risk management: Comprehensive grasp of the financial, operational, environmental, social and governance risks linked to organisations with a presence in multiple locations.
-Ethical leadership: Commitment to promoting and enabling principled and value driven leadership, operating with integrity, openness and transparency.
-Diplomacy: Strong diplomatic skills to represent the organisation effectively in international settings. Provides an independent perspective gained from working in other international organisations to positively challenge the organisation.
WHAT'S INVOLVED?
The International Board is made up of nine members including the International Treasurer, who are elected to office for a three-year term with a maximum of two consecutive terms by the Global Assembly, Amnesty International's highest governing body.
As an International Board member you will play a key role in setting and monitoring the strategic direction of Amnesty International and ensuring the organisation lives up to its shared vision, aims, and values.

Key governance responsibilities include but are not limited to:
-Ensuring Amnesty International complies with its governing documents (the Articles of Association), UK company law, charity law, the Amnesty International Statute any other relevant legislation or regulations;
-Providing high-quality, independent fiduciary oversight of Amnesty International's financial resources;
-Discharging responsibility for strategic leadership, accountability for managing institutional risks, whether financial, operational, reputational, environmental, sector-related or legal;
-Ensuring transparency and accountability and actively holding International Secretariat management to account for delivering the organisation's strategy;
-Appointing and supporting the Secretary General and monitoring their performance;
-Acting as a responsible employer by ensuring there are appropriate policies and procedures in place to care for the welfare of International Secretariat staff, including a safeguarding policy across the organisation;
-Reviewing organisational health indicators and performance information.

On Tuesday 18th June, the London Legal Support Trust (LLST) will host the London Legal Walk for a very special 20th time, bringing the legal community together to commemorate this anniversary and raise funds for free legal advice agencies across London and the South East.
Last year, over 16,000+ legal professionals from over 900 organisations took on the challenge. To make this event a success, we are on the look-out for 1 day event marshals to join one of the largest single day fundraising events in the country and add value to the thousands of event attendees.
The event is attended by high ranking judiciary, the President of the Law Society, the Lady Chief Justice and hundreds of London's top law firms. Want to be part of this special day and add skills to your CV? Take a look at some of the tasks below:
Tasks:
- You will be positioned at a “cheer point” along the 10km route where it will be your role to cheer and motivate walkers and offer support and encouragement as they go past. Your presence alone is enough to motivate thousands across the line, and ultimately raise as many funds as possible through a positive event experience. Regular email contact and a full brief in are provided so you are fully confident of supporting this event.
- Answer any questions walkers may have (you will be provided with an information pack about your point on the route).
- Other event stewards will support us in our cloakrooms and at the street party finish line on Carey Street.

Every year, the private economy reaps $150 billion in illegal profit from human trafficking (Neithammer, 2020). Shyne is solely dedicated to career and professional development services for those who’ve experienced exploitation.

Job description
Indigenous peoples and local communities are grappling with the constant threat of displacement from their lands in Tanzania. The violations of human and land rights, particularly in areas like Loliondo, Ngorongoro, and Simanjiro, have left thousands of people vulnerable and in need of urgent assistance. Following these evictions, many of the Maasai lack vital resources for survival and are unable to connect with the rest of the world. Not1More is working with a partner organisation, TEST, in Tanzania to support their fundraising, advocacy and communication activities.
Your Role
We are looking for a volunteer who can dedicate time to this role through to December 2024. You will be a part of a team that works directly with Tanzania’s indigenous Maasai, and help to make a difference in key areas such as protecting ecosystems and advocating for indigenous rights.
The main objective is to help TEST diversify and increase their funding sources. This will include connecting with other enthusiastic team members online to develop a fundraising strategy and implementation of a fundraising campaign, including identifying grant funding opportunities, assisting in the preparation and submission of grant funding proposals, and pursuing philanthropic and corporate partnership funding opportunities.

We are looking for an enthusiastic events assistant to join the team in our exciting new community space! Plateful Cafe is a recently established charity that seeks to help refugees in the surrounding area into employment within the food and hospitality sector.
We have opened a community cafe selling delicious Middle Eastern food! Our cafe is staffed by people with refugee status and experiences of forced migration who are being trained to work the food industry, as well as dedicated volunteers like you. We will be running regular community events and fundraisers for which we need a team of events assistants to help plan and run.

The role:
- Help organise monthly community dinners featuring three course meals from around the globe to enable the charity to engage with and attract donors.
- Help with running the dinner on the daywith tasks including welcoming the guests, serving food and drinks, take payments, setting up and clearing, etc.
- In a team plan and organise other events and fundraisers throughout the year, for example refugee week.
- Assist with applying for funds for events including securing raffle prizes, donations of ingredients, material needed, musicians and entertainment, etc.
- Work with the marketing volunteers, providing details of upcoming events for promotion; take pictures and quotes at the event.
Skills & Requirements:
- Prior experience of events planning and organisation
- A passion and keenness to engage in community-based work to support refugees and serve the local community
- Good organisation skills including: effective time management, punctuality and delegation of tasks.

Trans Legal Clinic (TLC) is the UK's first specialist gender identity legal clinic and the first trans-led legal practice. We support the transgender and non-binary community and are based in London.
Our services include support for legal processes involved in social transition. Additionally, we offer advocacy and legal services in areas such as housing, discrimination, and public law, each intersecting with gender-related legal issues.
TLC is a grassroots initiative founded by a dedicated team of volunteers. We are offering a variety of volunteering opportunities to make meaningful contributions to social justice and equality while building invaluable work experience and career development opportunities.
Roles available
We have several roles available in the management team:
Clinic Operations and Administration Officer
- Help manage daily operations and liaise with community and corporate partners.
Social Media Manager
- Lead the clinic's social media team, focusing on strategy, content, and analytics.
Communications/Content Officer
- Assist the Social Media Manager in executing the social media strategy.
Technology Architecture and Operations
- Maintain Microsoft 365 workflow and group access.
- Assist with in-house configurations and streamlining processes.
- Explore the future architecture state of the clinic.
We also have our primary role available to multiple candidates:
Caseworker
- Providing key support and interactions directly with clients.
- Managing and advocating for clients' cases.
What are we looking for?
- Must be London-based and must commit to working in person every Saturday from 13:00 to 18:00 in our offices in central London. Please do not apply if you are unable to meet this requirement.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Ability to work independently and manage own workload.

We are looking for a Social Media Specialist who can strategically identify, and post, engaging content for our social media feeds, which will inspire people to support our work with refugees and asylum seekers in Epirus.
In your role, you will interact with our Instagram and Facebook communities to increase engagement, followers and the quality of their experience. You will also identify key influencers and conversations where we can engage to better showcase our work and expand our reach. You are the person who thinks “this would make a good post” while activities are taking place. More than that, your interest and belief in social media as a force for good should be backed with an interest in data and analytics, using them to influence our social media communication strategy.
Skills Required:
- Strong written and spoken English skills
- Proactive, problem-solving mind-set
- Demonstrable ability to manage a Facebook, Twitter or Instagram feed in a professional capacity
- Ability to demonstrate your success at creating and delivering social media strategies for specific projects
- Ability to show your experience at producing regular reports using Facebook Insights, Twitter Analytics, Google Analytics or similar tools.
- Data-driven and have an evidence-led approach to social media strategy.
- Up-to-date with the latest trends/developments in social media communications.
- Ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks and respond flexibly.
- Ability to deal with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to identify key influential external figures and agencies to further our social media reach and impact.

Skills Desired:
- Experience working in a refugee context or with a vulnerable population
- Experience working in an NGO, Charity or in the field of human rights
- Language skills: Arabic, Persian, Dari, Sorani and/or Kurmanji
Your responsibilities:
- Regularly post and schedule content on Second Tree’s social media feeds.
- Work with the wider Second Tree team to ensure that all content on our social media feeds aligns with organisational, and specific project strategies.
- Work with Second Tree team to moderate and respond to comments and interact with followers to best develop our online communities.
- Produce regular reports on social media performance.
- Use Google Analytics (or similar) to produce reports on referrals to the Second Tree website and conversions attributable to social content.
- Advise colleagues and help them to develop content strategies based on previous reports and insights
- Develop social media strategies to expand our reach and impact through social media channels
- Identify key social influencers who we can engage with
- Maintain a strong knowledge of developments, innovations, and new tech in social media and identify any that may be of benefit/interest to Second Tree
What We Offer:

We have two volunteer houses that can host up to nine people where long-term volunteers are accommodated. Some volunteers choose to rent their own accommodation. In certain periods of the year, demand is extremely high, and the volunteer houses might be full. If you have the means to pay for your own accommodation, please let us know. We would still be happy to host you if space is available. However, in a situation where the volunteer houses are full, this would allow us to offer a volunteering opportunity to someone that cannot afford to pay rent.
The successful candidate will be encouraged to join us on the ground and immerse themselves in our work. Your participation could take on many forms, from support in the education programs to activities in the kindergarten to the delivery of workshops and expeditions with the Youth Scouts – we look forward to hearing your ideas on how best to apply your skills in this context. By coming here, you would gain a first-hand experience of the situation on the ground, working in a grassroots organization with a small but dedicated team. This immersion will give you a solid sense of our work, our mission and our approach – which would facilitate your ability to attract supporters.
