Swindon, Swindon
Volunteer Role
Job description

Do you want to make a difference in your community? Join us to support young people in Swindon to thrive.

Grit has been working with Swindon Academy for over 5 years. We embarked on a new 5-year programme which began in January 2018. Now in its third year, we are looking for another cohort of dedicated volunteers to build on the fantastic progress previous cohorts have already made.

We are excited to be offering you the amazing opportunity to mentor a young person for 6 months. The programme aims to transform the mind sets, attitudes and experiences that block young people’s path to thriving, successful futures.
Young people will identify goals they want to achieve which could include building positive relationships with staff or achieve a better grade in a particular subject. Your role is to support them in achieving these goals.

You'll receive high quality training and ongoing support which can support your own personal development as well as that of the young people and the community you'll be working within.
