Do you want to part of facilitating people to rebuild their lives?

Do you have a passion to support people on journey of rediscovering their strengths and aspirations?

Are you able to support people to build strong community networks?

If so, we really need your help.

We are looking for energetic and passionate volunteers who are able to make a difference to the lives of people with mental health issues.

Main Tasks

  • To support the individual in exploring their interests, strengths and aspirations through building links in the community.
  • To support and join an individual to take part in recovery based activities such as: Education, Training and Volunteering with the view to promote and enhance their sense of community involvement and independent living.
  • To assist in group work / activity facilitation
  • To support staff in the development and running of user led activities.

Location: Hounslow, London

Hours: Flexible looking for a volunteer to commit two hours a week.

At Hestia, we support adults and children across London in times of crisis.

Last year we worked with more than 9,000 people, including victims of modern slavery, women and children who have experienced domestic abuse, young care leavers and older people. From giving someone a home to helping them to get the right mental health support, we support and enable people at the moment of crisis.
