Tamasha is seeking its next Chair or Co-Chairs. This is a wonderful opportunity to lead the Board of one of the UK’s leading Global Majority (ethnically diverse) theatre companies.

Tamasha is looking for someone who is passionate about arts and creativity and who has lived experience (or a significant understanding) of the challenges and opportunities facing Global Majority artists and communities in the UK today. The Chair will be a change-maker and collaborative leader, able to support the Trustees, Artistic Director and Executive Director.  The Chair will be a strong and visible advocate for Tamasha, able to negotiate and influence across a range of sectors to support its work.

The RAF Museum has beautiful grounds that require continuous year-round attention, including pruning, weeding, mowing, planting and general garden maintenance. 

This role offers the opportunity to help us maintain and shape the grounds at the RAF Museum.

It doesn't matter if you are Alan Titchmarsh or have little to no gardening experience at all.  If you feel you can offer a few hours a week to help maintain the grounds, we would gratefully appreciate your application.

· Leaf clearing using our road sweeper and leaf blower.

The Royal Society for Asian Affairs (RSAA) is seeking to recruit three new trustees to support it at an important point in its development, approaching its 125th anniversary in 2026.

The Society has made big changes in recent years, including expanding its international audience, improving its accessibility to members and non-members, modernising its constitution and governance structures, and developing an ambitious new strategy that gives the Society’s original objectives fresh energy in a 21st century context.

To help us drive this forward, we are looking for an individual with a professional background in fundraising and income generation, ideally in the education sector, and an interest in Asia. Experience of working with charities is important. Familiarity with the RSAA would be useful but is not essential. We are keen to increase the diversity of the board and will particularly welcome interest from individuals from under-represented groups.

Trustees are accountable for the proper and effective operation of the Society, giving strategic direction to the Chief Executive, ensuring the financial health and good financial management of the Society, ensuring that the Society has sufficient funds to support its activities, and protecting the Society’s reputation and independence.

We are looking to recruit a Treasurer to join our board of trustees. The Treasurer, in addition to their role as trustee will oversee income, expenditure and support SCIP to manage cash flow and safeguard the charity. 

We are looking for a team player, who is able to support our board to grow the charity over the next few years. Our aim is to break down barriers which prevent people accessing the arts – as well as enriching our community with our workshops, community events and gallery space. We are a passionate and dedicated team in need of support embedding new procedures, strategies and development plans to help the charity grow. We welcome hand-on trustees who wish to come and help at workshops and events, but this is not expected or a requirement of the role.

If you have a background in any of the following it would be very useful for our board: charity experience, marketing and communications, human resources, inclusion and diversity and/or finance. Previous trustee experience is not necessary and we are actively seeking applications from all ages and backgrounds. Having a board with diverse backgrounds and lived experiences will enable SCIP to improve decision making to be more inclusive whilst having better understandings of potential barriers people have experience accessing arts.  SCIP are focused on working with people who share our vision and values.

Trustees wanted for Nantgarw China Works Museum

Nantgarw China Works is home to the finest porcelain ever produced. It was established in 1813 and produced porcelain that has achieved international fame before producing earthenware for daily use until 1920. The site was rescued from total decay in 1990 but many of the Scheduled historic structures remain in urgent need of care. Today the China Works is a museum displaying the history of the porcelain and pottery produced at the site, a working pottery where three ceramicists are based (one of whom produces porcelain items from the rediscovered recipe of 1813), and a major teaching institution running some 500 workshop sessions in heritage crafts. The site is a popular venue for local groups and societies as well as an increasing number of coach tours.

Since 2007 the Museum has been operated by a charitable trust which determines the strategic directions for its development. It is staffed by volunteers who carry out a wide range of duties under the oversight of our Strategic Development Manager. After considerable growth over the past decade, we are now focussed on the steps necessary for expansion and sustainability. We are currently seeking to achieve Accredited Museum status and in line with our vision and the conclusions of a recent Options Appraisal exercise are working on developing a multi-million-pound application to ‘transform where the world’s finest porcelain was made into a vibrant centre for ceramic history and contemporary innovation.’

At this exciting time in our history, we would welcome applications to join the existing seven members of the Trustee board. Trustees are unpaid and meet formally six times a year but are expected to develop a close relationship with the site and help in any way they can. Working together, Trustees are expected to:

• Set the strategic framework and direction to enable the Museum to deliver benefits to the public, to achieve its goals and to flourish
• Ensure that the charity is carrying out its purposes for the benefit of the public
• Comply with our governing document and the law
• Act in the charity’s best interests

Showroom Work Station is a registered charity and a cultural hub for South Yorkshire and the North of England. 

Located in a converted 1930’s art deco building, the venue is home to a four-screen cinema, creative industries business centre, event space, and café bar, in the heart of Sheffield city centre. 

We are looking to recruit new Trustees to join our board.  We are particularly keen to hear from anyone with knowledge and understanding of major capital projects, fundraising or the hospitality sector.  However, if you don’t have expertise in any of these areas, but still feel that you have something to offer, please still get in touch.  This is a unique opportunity to join a creative and passionate team and help shape the future of the organisation.

As a trustee you will oversee the operation of a major cultural cinema exhibiting a diverse film programme with first run and retrospectives of curated work, including archive, documentaries, and many unique one-off programmes with regular visiting filmmakers.  We are home to some very successful film festivals and host many unique events each month.

Through our trading subsidiary, we also manage the Work Station creative industries business centre, operate a successful bar/café, and conferencing facilities.

Our Trustees work closely with the Chair, Chief Executive and Senior Management Team to provide clear strategic direction to the organisation, helping to agree policy, define goals, set targets, and evaluate performance.

As with all our Trustees, we are looking for candidates who can demonstrate excellent communication skills and have a good understanding of local, regional, and cultural agendas.

Trustees are required to attend approximately 5 Board meetings per year (usually held on the last Monday of the month, 6 pm – 8 pm) and to offer relevant support and specialist knowledge to enable us to meet the objectives of our business. 

The post is not paid but all Trustees receive invitations to special events and have a weekly allocation of free cinema tickets (subject to availability).

Conservators within the Small Objects Team treat and maintain items in the museum collection at the London site. Items within the category of Small Objects include, but are not limited to, archival materials, textiles, fine art, medals, and aircraft components. Volunteers would be joining Conservators behind the scenes to contribute to the important practical and analytical work necessary to ensure the museum collections are accessible to visitors and researchers.

What will I be doing?

• Assisting with condition assessments and looking for agents of deterioration

• Assisting with Preventative surface cleaning and maintenance of collection items as required

• Assisting with the preparation of objects for exhibitions

• Assisting with object movements across the museum

• Assisting with the implementation of the Integrated Pest Management (IPM) system

• Occasionally interact with the public, discussing your tasks and sharing your knowledge of the collection.

NWR is a membership organisation for women that has been bringing women together for over 60 years. We have over 300 groups across the country who meet for informal chats and discussions. Women of all ages are welcome to join.

What will you do?

Following the success of the new groups in Hertfordshire, we are recruiting volunteers across the country to set up new NWR groups in their area. These NWR groups will meet monthly in a local pub or bar with a set theme – this theme acts as an icebreaker and ensures that no two meetings feel the same! Themes could cover a wide range of topics and are designed to be light-hearted and an opener for conversations that could lead anywhere (and usually do!).

We hear from many members about how much joy NWR membership has brought to their lives; the friendships forged, companionship and wide-ranging conversations held. We want to reach more women to give them this opportunity.

Your role would be to run the group: promote it, schedule and run the meetings and respond to enquiries.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for volunteers who enjoy meeting and talking to new people, are familiar with using social media and have excellent administration and IT skills. In a nutshell, we’re looking for a “people person” who is comfortable with a spreadsheet and social media!

What will we provide?

We will provide training and support from staff who have experience of setting up and running a group as well as templates and promotional material for you to use. You would also be part of a friendly network of other volunteers.

The amount of time spent on the role will vary from week to week. It is estimated that the role will require 5-10 hours a month, which includes time spent at your meetings.

Position Overview:
The Spiritual Arts Foundation is seeking a highly experienced and knowledgeable Charity Administrator / Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of charity law and regulations in the UK, along with extensive practical experience in setting up charities, Community Interest Companies (CICs), and Companies Limited by Guarantee (CLGs). In addition to possessing exceptional organizational and project management skills, the candidate should also have a genuine interest in spiritual subjects and a passion for making a difference in the world.

Responsibilities:

You will be required to:

• Provide expert guidance and support in the setup and registration of charities, CICs, and CLGs, ensuring compliance with relevant UK legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Consult with our legal team on the preparation of legal documentation, including governing documents, constitutions, and articles of association.
• Assist in the establishment of appropriate governance structures, and work with our HR team regarding the recruitment and training of trustees and board members.
• Assist our management and accounting teams to choose optimal bank accounts and obtain the necessary financial services for new charitable entities.
• Consult with our fundraising team to help implement our strategies for fundraising, donor engagement, and income generation.
• Offer strategic advice on staffing requirements, recruitment processes, and employment contracts.
• Help us to identify potential risks and opportunities associated with charity setup and operation.
• Keep abreast of changes in charity law, regulations, and best practices, and ensure that organizational policies and procedures remain up to date.
• Collaborate effectively with internal teams, external stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to achieve organizational objectives.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proven experience in setting up charities, CICs, or CLGs in the UK, including a comprehensive understanding of the legal and regulatory framework.
