Home-Start Walsall is an empowering, visionary family support service built on trusted relationships and rooted in the community. Looking forward, we are ambitious for our future and looking for Trustees who can help us grow and develop.

What will you be doing?

This is a key role with full oversight of the fundraising activities for the charity.

Devise a fund raising strategy to be approved by the Board of Trustees

Co-ordinate and manage fund raising, comprising community, trust, corporate, major donor and digital fund raising, across the organisation

Write funding applications to charitable trusts and foundations

Attend networking events and meetings with potential donors

Support visits from funders and build relationships with funders

Work with the team to create innovative ideas to gain funds

What are we looking for?

 Key skills requirements are:

Previous experience of fund raising in the charitable sector or community or sales/business development experience

Excellent written and oral presentation skills

Networking skills

Drive and ambition to help us improve our financial sustainability by diversification of our funding streams
