I have a voice’s aim is to increase participation in politics. Our method is
providing professional political and campaigning experience input to
schools and youth groups. We are passionate about equipping young
people with the knowledge, tools and skills needed to be an active citizen.
The sessions and resources are designed to empower young people by
giving them the confidence to articulate their views with confidence; and
to respond constructively and respectfully when challenged. By working in
partnership with schools and youth groups we are striving to increase
political literacy in a way that works for them and the young people that
they work with.
I have a voice is a fledgling social enterprise and the first few months have
been spent testing the method - and it works! The next stage is all about
professionalising I have a voice and turning it into a viable social enterprise.
Therefore I have a voice is looking to appoint a Board of Trustees,
including a Chair.
The following experience would be particularly helpful:
● Education provision
● IT and digital infrastructure
● Marketing, communications and PR
● Youth engagement
This list is not exhaustive and so if you’d like to get involved but do not fall
into one of these categories, please still get in touch. The priority is an
engaged and diverse group of Trustees with a range of experiences and
The Board will meet 4-6 times per year, combining in-person and virtual
attendance to maximise accessibility. It is important that the Board
embodies our vision of a future where people from all backgrounds
engage with politics and that politics is representative of the population,
and so we encourage individuals from all backgrounds to apply.
This is a voluntary role.
Important: I have a voice is non-partisan and the campaigns we work on are
determined and led by the young people we work with.
