Liverpool, Merseyside (On-site)
Unpaid role, expenses paid
Voluntary
Job description

We currently have vacancies for two inspiring people to join our forward-thinking Trustee Board.

What will you be doing?

The new PR & Marketing role will be led by a proactive individual who will support ICC's plan to advance our brand identity and broaden awareness of our values and priorities and increase our visibility across a wider audience.

The HR Trustee will support the organisation with Human Resources, bringing knowledge, skills and experience within HR and/or Organisational Development.

The role of the Trustee is to provide excellent governance; operate at a strategic level; oversee the organisation and hold it to account.

Trustees are responsible for setting the mission and direction of the organisation, ensuring its continuing success and sustainability.

What are we looking for?

As a member of ICC Trustee Board, you will demonstrate a strong commitment to the purpose and values of the organisation and offer the skills you have towards our common goal.

We are keen to recruit first time Trustees who seek governance experience in their career development.

An Irish connection is desirable, but it is not essential.

Trustees are expected to have an interest in, or direct knowledge of, the charity sector and support organisations.

We are committed to organisational practices which promote equity, equality, diversity and inclusion for all employees, volunteers and community members. We would like to increase the diversity of our Trustee Board in order to reflect the communities we serve.

What difference will you make?

It is a really exciting time to join us! We are a key partner in the delivery of the Irish Government’s Diaspora Strategy and have recently been selected as one of three organisations nationally to receive three-year Emigrant Support Programme funding.

ICC are also a founder member of Fréa a dynamic collaboration between three leading Irish charities in the North of England, exploring sustainable income generation.

By bringing your expertise to the Board, you will be supporting the Irish Community in the North West. We offer you the opportunity to learn about the Irish community and the issues affecting our service users. This is a great chance to become part of an inclusive and welcoming Board and you will receive a full induction and mentorship.

You will be mentored by another Trustee, supporting you in your role and giving you the tools you need.
