Our volunteers are all parents themselves or have parenting experience and are carefully selected for their friendliness and understanding. All volunteers complete a preparation course and are DBS and reference checked before being matched with a family. They then take their own individual skills and experience to the families they visit. Our volunteers offer their time and friendship and accept a parent as they are.

STAMP Revisited is a small but ambitious charity, which provides advocacy and emotional support to those experiencing mental health difficulties. We support them to access vital services they need that they would not be able to access independently.  We have already supported thousands of the most disadvantaged people to have their voice heard and respected.

We are currently recruiting a new Treasurer to join our Board of Trustees. As a Trustee of STAMP Revisited, you will play a crucial role in setting the strategic direction of the charity and ensuring good governance.  You will contribute to ensuring that the charity fulfils its mission, operates effectively, and remains accountable to those experiencing mental health issues.

In addition to the general duties as Trustee, as Treasurer you will play a pivotal role in securing the financial integrity and sustainability of our charity. You will ensure that effective and appropriate financial measures are put in place and report to the Board at regular intervals about the financial health of the organisation.

We are, a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO), which has provided advocacy services for the people of Teesside for almost 30 years, and we are currently looking for new Trustees to join our Board.

Our advocates provide advocacy to adults who are experiencing mental health difficulties that impact on their ability to make their voice heard and are unable to independently navigate personal issues such as aspects of their health, finances, or housing needs.

Trustees are essential to the success of a charity, and the Board is the charity’s governing body. Trustees are responsible for ensuring the charity meets its objectives and are responsible for its general administration and control of the charity.

What will you be doing? 
 
We are currently looking for a new, dynamic, creative and inspiring Chair of Trustees who can bring their energy and expertise to the organisation. We’re looking for someone with lived experience of emotional distress or maybe helping someone else through a tough time. We want to hear from people who like to think outside the box, brave enough to consider new ways of doing things and want to help bring around a new wave of support to our communities. Consider yourself a bit of a maverick, we want to hear from you!

We are particularly keen to recruit a Chair who is experienced in the following areas: 

• At least one year of being Chair for another small Charity 

• Excellent knowledge and understanding of Charity governance 

• Lived experience of mental health challenges/suicidal thoughts/attempts or experience of supporting others with these issues 

• Qualified counsellor/therapist is desirable

Purpose of the Role

 This volunteer role is a key part of the HFEH Mind team delivering a range of services across Hammersmith and Fulham, Ealing and Hounslow. We support clients with mental health with both clinical and non-clinical interventions.

The volunteer will coordinate a network of volunteers who, alongside the local team, delivering a range of services.

The volunteer will onboard, induct, and provide ongoing support for the volunteers and provide oversight of the relationship volunteers have with the service users we work with.

Main Responsibilities

To work closely with the HFEH Mind team and service managers and support the services with volunteer recruitment, supervision and retention.

Tasks

• Work with the service managers and central support team to support the journey and retention of volunteers.
• Provide volunteers with 1:1s or group support on a monthly basis.
• Support Director of Adult Services to administer reflective practice sessions.
• Work with the service managers and central support to log and administer volunteer availability, and resolve any volunteering related issues or complaints.
• Encourage people to volunteer through a variety of local marketing and promotion approaches, including social media and engage with our Head of Well at Work to develop a marketing and communications strategy for volunteers.
• Develop, coordinate and engage a network of around 30 active volunteers for the service.
• Induct new volunteers.
• Work effectively to ensure local volunteers feel valued and are contributing to the objectives of HFEH Mind.
• Support the ongoing monitoring and evaluation of our services.
• Gather volunteer feedback and take appropriate steps for service improvement.

The Bereaved by Suicide project provides a rapid response and ongoing support service to those affected by suicide. We are looking for Bereavement Volunteers to join us at Cruse to provide up to 6 support sessions for clients by phone or zoom.

We aim to meet the needs of clients as closely as possible, meaning support sessions may be spread out to ensure support is ongoing throughout an inquest for example, and support can sometimes be extended depending on individual circumstances.

We are keen to hear from anyone with experience of working in the field of mental health support, suicide, or relevant social work. The position could suit a counselling student seeking a placement to complete their counselling hours.

Full bereavement training is provided over a six week period with additional bereaved by suicide training. A DBS check is also required.

We are the only national non-profit supporting people in the UK impacted by borderline personality disorder (BPD). We provide peer support, signposting, information and advice to individuals living with BPD, their families and carers. 

About the Role

Our busy support services team is seeking a reliable and organised volunteer to assist the signposting service. You will respond to queries from health and social care professionals and service users. In addition, you will provide administrative support to the team and processing referrals emailed into the service.

Responsibilities in this role include:

• Providing information and advice to health and social professionals and service users
• Processing new referrals
• Navigating and inputting information into our secure database, handling client data and sensitive information
• Explaining confidentiality to health and social care professionals and service users and seeking consent to store or share information where necessary

Do you love to support and empower people? We are looking for compassionate champions to join our volunteer mentoring programme. Help mentees build confidence, get established in community and develop independence. The Build mentoring programme supports survivors of modern slavery. A volunteer mentor is paired with a co mentor meeting fortnightly in the community with a mentee; being a friendly support, setting goals, exploring opportunities and life skills. All volunteer mentors are supported and accountable to the Build Coordinators. This role is voluntary and unpaid (costs incurred for refreshments related to the mentor role will be reimbursed).

The Role

• To create a safe, compassionate, and healthy mentoring relationship
• Provide the mentee with tools and techniques to navigate a pathway to achieve things that are important to them
• Provide practical support to the mentee where appropriate (eg signposting)
• Support a mentee to identify and establish goals and life skills that are important to them
• Liaise with the mentee and fellow mentor to arrange safe and suitable meeting places including date and time
• Debrief with your co-mentor after each meeting and provide a brief written record of the discussion for the Mentoring Coordinator
• Work with your co-mentor to model ‘healthy community’
• Manage the trio’s refreshment expenses for reimbursement

The purpose of your role is to work alongside the other trustees to ensure that the Association is working towards its charitable purposes, is complying with all applicable rules and laws, and is making best use of its resources to achieve its aims. We are specifically looking for someone to provide us with the expertise to oversee our exciting digital transformation, product development and overall cybersecurity.

Trustees take considered and informed decisions in the best interests of the Association. Trustees are not expected to be experts on all areas of their work but are expected to seek guidance and support where necessary and to bring their own knowledge and experience to contribute to discussions.

Social Anxiety Alliance UK aim to provide information and resources for individuals suffering from social anxiety and social phobia.

This is an exciting opportunity to help shape and develop the UK’s first dedicated Social Anxiety charity. 

We are ideally looking for trustees with previous charity trustee experience or with experience working in the mental health or charity sector. Howerver if you beleive you have the passion, time and skills to help us take the charity forward please feel free to apply.
