Now we can mention it as an IT-managed services provider. We compromised of professional IT specialists responsible for providing guidance and sharing relevant information with personal or business persons.

At KOBU SMART, we always look for improvements in all aspects of the business environment, or perhaps any particular Home User needs to improve the network at home.

We are a small and fresh team that has been working in the IT industry for years. In 2020, we decided to launch our business idea and share our knowledge and experience with those customers who need help understanding the meaning of Information Technology nowadays.

Our mission is to globally assist business to be more efficient in a daily basis in business operation, such as communication, finance, relationship between colleagues and employers and ways of communication.

What you’ll be doing

To ensure that their company’s computer network is running smoothly and efficiently, IT assistants perform an array of tasks. We analysed several online job postings to identify these core duties and responsibilities.

• Installing and configuring equipment belong to KOBU SMART.

• Setting Up Peripherals or any kind of configuration KOBU SMART has to be maintained

• Maintaining and repairing, even if a computer network and all its peripherals are set up flawlessly, issues will still arise on a week-to-week basis.

• Helping customers/employees/volunteers in our Help-desk page. Assisting as 1st/2nd Line Support.

• Manage of Remote Desktop to assist customers.

Be aware, this job is unpaid, but has annual compensations for the great job performance maintenance for the company, or promotional to another internal jobs in the organization. We aim to pay £100 per annual as minimum if you release a good performance activities in the company.

Numberfit is a social enterprise that makes learning maths fun and engaging for children across age groups and attainment levels. 

We are looking for a gameplay designer to help us improve our educational games. This role involves enhancing gameplay mechanics and designing innovative games that can be enjoyed by children and families. These games are often games that have both a physical and digital component (working alongside our software developer)

You will also be working alongside our founder as part of our small team.

Your responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Providing constructive feedback and innovative suggestions for improving the design and user experience of the game.

• Designing and prototyping new gameplay mechanics, features, and challenges.

• Helping test the game to identify areas for improvement.

• Working closely with artists and developers to implement design elements into the game.

Key qualifications include:

• Excellent writing and communication skills.

• Great attention to detail.

• Strong research abilities to identify potential improvements to a game.

• An interest in games, including board games, location based games, pervasive games, computer games etc. Previous experience in game design, preferred but not mandatory.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

• A passion for games, children’s education and wellbeing.

Quilombo UK is looking for an IT specialist to join their national volunteering team working from home. By joining Quilombo UK you will be supported and guided by experienced staff and volunteers, who are willing to share their skill set and will provide you with great opportunities for development in many different areas.

What will the role entail?

1. Adding new volunteers to google systems
2. Managing Passwords
3. Google Drive maintenance
4. Integrator Management (software that links to MT)
5. WhatsApp / Alternatives
6. Managing website structure
7. Support for online database for interactive products
8. Making sure all accounts are safe and secure

The Professional Development Programme with Quilombo UK runs over a period of 16 weeks, is UNPAID and requires a minimum of 12 hours commitment per week across Monday, Wednesday and/or Friday.

Upon successful application, our HR team will contact you to arrange an interview. Following a successful interview, we'll initiate the onboarding process by sending you the necessary documents. Once your onboarding and identification documents are received and verified, you'll be invited to a 6-hour HR and System Induction. Subsequently, you'll meet with your Head of Department or Assistant Manager for your First Day.

Cats Protection is the UK’s leading feline welfare charity and our vision is a world where every cat is treated with kindness and an understanding of its needs. Our volunteer website editors promote the activities of our local volunteer groups and teams by helping keep their websites relevant, up to date and engaging for members of the public. Local websites are one of the places members of the public will look to find out more about Cats Protection. A positive local profile can help raise funds, promote adopting a cat, promote neutering and make sure as many people as possible learn about great cat welfare.

What can you expect to be doing?

• Sourcing news and information for websites
• Communicating with others across Cats Protection
• Sourcing and updating information around rehoming, cat welfare, fundraising and volunteer recruitment
• Regularly updating and posting on your group’s website using the charity’s content management system (CMS)
• Ensuring that content meets with internal and external policies and guidelines

Our website editor volunteers usually spend two to three hours per week in this role, which is flexible and can be shared by more than one volunteer if needed.

Additional information

At Cats Protection we believe our volunteers should be happy and confident in their roles. To make sure this is the case, we provide support and guidance both remotely from our National Cat Centre and face to face through our regional and local volunteer groups and teams. We also offer varied online and face-to-face training and have wide-ranging policies covering all aspects of volunteering. Web Editor Volunteer Role Description

Are you passionate about changing the way we treat animals? Do you want to help reduce damage to our environment? Do you want to get people to enjoy healthy vegan food that looks good and tastes great? 

The Vegan Society makes veganism more accessible and an easily adopted approach by supporting individuals, policy and decision makers, caterers, manufacturers, health care professionals and the media. 

Why do we need you? 

Our website covers a huge range of topics, aimed to support people in becoming, and staying, vegan. Keeping all of these up to date takes a lot of hours and many hands, especially when it comes to pages that need regular updates involving sourcing and editing images, improving accessibility, and updating content.

What does the role involve? 

The role will involve a variety of different tasks in updating the website such as: 

• Assisting the web team with content migration for the society’s new website.
• Adding and updating the events page, which will include editing images and proofreading content for the page. 
• Reviewing and fixing pages with broken links. 
• Publishing and updating recipes on our recipes page. 
• Supporting with accessibility improvements to the site such as adding alt tags to images. 
• Undertaking search engine optimisation tasks, such as identifying key search terms and popular pages we could develop. 
• More advanced web editing and development tasks may be offered to volunteers depending on their skillset and level of experience. 

We expect that tasks will be assigned based on your experience and confidence in the area, with full support from the Web Officer. This would all happen in software we provide. Our website CMS currently is Drupal; however, we will be moving over to Umbraco soon, so you would become familiar with this.

What training and development is available? 

Each task will be introduced in a phased way, with a full induction and training session on each area. We will provide training for specific areas, based on your existing experience. There are opportunities for all our roles to develop and to take on more responsibility.

What skills would be useful in doing this role? 

• Familiarity with content management systems such as WordPress, Drupal or Umbraco would be an ideal foundation for this role. 
• Experience with web editing. 
• Ability to use digital systems and processes. 
• Knowledge and experience of image editing to specific dimensions. 
• Ability to work independently. 
• Willingness to learn and develop in the role. 

 What does my availability have to be? 

This role will require four to six hours a week. For the first month of volunteering, you will need to commit to these hours between 9:am-5:pm (GMT) so that staff support is directly available to you. After this we will have a review and, if you are comfortable, your hours can be completed more flexibly around your schedule. To keep up contact with staff and help you to manage your tasks, we will schedule a weekly check-in video call with you during weeks that you are volunteering for us.

This volunteer role involves being available for a mix of weekly drop-in IT sessions in which you will provide ‘floating support’ as well as pre-arranged one-to-one sessions in order to help clients complete more specific tasks relevant to them.

Digital Inclusion provides a crucial resource, helping people to take positive steps to improve their lives, by overcoming digital exclusion, accessing learning and securing work. In an average session, clients undertake independent learning and tasks, such as; completing searches on the internet, formatting documents and using email, paying bills, filling in forms etc

Increasingly, clients are asking for help with social media platforms, such as; logging into Facebook account, creating a LinkedIn profile or Instagram account to promote their business, or help with blogging.

How does this role make a difference?

All of life’s activities - including job seeking, accessing and managing benefits and housing - take place online.  Clients without IT skills are hugely disadvantaged.  This role provides clients with support, helping them to overcome initial fears or learning barriers.  With increasing confidence, they will be able to access the internet independently.

Who will you be helping?

Users are adults from diverse backgrounds and can range from those who are complete computer beginners, learning the basics of IT, to those needing access to the resource for learning, job search or managing household finances. The service helps clients seeking to address digital skills gaps and improve their confidence in order to access the internet.

What will you be doing?

• Meeting clients and carrying out weekly, one-to-one coaching sessions
• For the remaining time, offering ‘floating support’ to other clients, such as completing searches on the internet, formatting documents and using email

· Helping new clients to complete an IT Initial Basic Skills Assessment

What are we looking for?

• Although advanced technical skills are not required, a good understanding of MS Office (Word and Excel mostly) and a breadth of experience in using the internet are essential in order to coach and help vulnerable clients develop their skills.

• The confidence and willingness to work closely with clients and actively approach them where required. 

· You have some experience assisting or coaching others.

· You are patient, a good listener and have the ability to motivate others.

· You are available for a period of at least six months to give you time to develop a rapport and fulfil learning objectives with the clients.

What is the time commitment?

We are looking to have open access sessions for clients twice a week, days will depend on your availability.  one-to-one sessions can be arranged to fit with these days.

We are asking for a 6 months commitment to enable you to build trusting relationships with clients and develop in your role.  Volunteers find this goes very quickly! 

How will you be supported?

· There is ongoing support by the Learning and Employment Manager.

· Free access to a range of e-learning modules on the Centre’s online e-learning platform

· You will be reimbursed for reasonable and agreed ‘out-of-pocket’ expenses such as travel, and also lunch if volunteering a full day.

Kiya Survivors is looking for a dedicated individual to join our small, friendly team to assist in leading the charity forward and improving the services we offer to our families in Peru.

Kiya Survivors is a small Anglo-Peruvian registered NGO supporting vulnerable families, children with learning difficulties and disabilities living in poverty and abused and abandoned children and young women in Peru.

We are looking for someone with a secretarial or administrative background who can help us with the following duties:

·To support, help direct and ensure that the charities mission statements are being followed by all Trustees and staff.

·To create, keep up to date and ensure all Trustees and the CEO have a copy of the annual meetings calendar.

·To create, keep up to date and ensure all Trustees and the CEO have a copy of the charities mission statements, code of conduct and strategic plan.

·To set the agenda and take/distribute minutes for all board meetings.

·To ensure that the charities legal paperwork is kept up to date with the Charity Commission and Companies House.

·To actively encourage other Trustees to sign up more child sponsors and set targets per quarter to generate more sponsors for children and projects.

·To research grant opportunities and assist in writing them, collecting relevant data to input etc.

Our moderators are there to support the young people who play on the Minecraft Funtime Games server. This may mean helping them with things like clearing large pieces of land to build on, making TP points, copy and move builds however not take over any players build unless they have asked for specific help. A moderator should encourage players to create their own builds, you may offer suggestions and ideas to help them become more confident and learn new things.

You will help sort out minor conflicts between players and remind players of the rules of our server and why we have them. Help organise, create and manage events. Align with our values: Respect, Trust, Dependability, Creativity and Empathy

Minecraft Funtime Games Rules for Moderators: 1. Do not give out illegal blocks or weapons to players.

a. This includes any blocks not available in the creative inventory. E.g. Light blocks, hacked items from other clients.

b. *Exceptions are barrier blocks, structure voids and NPC spawn eggs if they are for specific builds.

2. Do not change or remove other players builds unless they break rules. Do not allow players to either.

3. Do not change players to have ‘operator’ status when in game.

4. Do promote creativity with fun games/challenges.

5. Do take part in events and games.

6. Do contact an owner when you need a second opinion.

7. Do take screenshots of all problems/Griefing and send to an owner or post in the Discord ‘Griefing’ channel

8. Keep up to date on ‘Player Rules’ and also follow them.
