We are seeking new Trustees for our Board who have a passion for inclusion of people with disabilities. We have an ambitious five-year strategic development plan which will take our services out increasingly in to communities, enabling people with complex needs to work and live as independently as possible. The Charity is planning a further expansion of its social enterprise and operating sites.
A key Trustee position is our Treasurer and we are looking for a Treasurer to succeed the present post holder. He/she will have an interest in finance or enterprise development. The Treasurer chairs our Finance & Risk Sub Committee and links to the Finance Manager and Chief Executive on the operational team. Our auditors are Tait Walker, the Charity’s financial year running from April – March annually. Accounts are presented at our Annual General Meeting in September each year.
Our current Board includes professionals from the commercial sector, law and education/Safeguarding. Most of our Trustees have a professional or personal interest in intellectual disability (complex learning disability) or have experience of unpaid caring roles. The Board has three Honorary Officers, Chair, Vice Chair and Treasurer.
