Philanthropy Trustee – a highly influential networker, you will be invested in helping the charity to build relationships and guide them in how to make the ask for significant donations and help them to manage donor stewardship whilst providing mentoring and guidance to the Philanthropy team.

All Trustees have a duty to ensure that the charity is well run, solvent, legally compliant, and working towards I CAN’s charitable purpose for which it was established and Trustee roles are an important and a highly rewarding way to support an organisation. Please note that Trustee roles are unremunerated voluntary positions, although reasonable travel expenses will be paid and the time commitments are outlined in the candidate pack.

I CAN is committed to equality of opportunity, supports and encourages under-represented groups and values diversity. We seek people from a wide range of backgrounds, who will bring a fresh perspective to the Board and having reviewed our existing Trustees diversity, skills and experience, we are keen for our Board to reflect the diversity of the communities that we work with and we therefore welcome applications from all sections of the community.
