League Against Cruel Sports sanctuaries
We have an exciting opportunity to volunteer at one or more of our beautiful sanctuaries based in Exmoor, Dartmoor and the Quantock Hills.
A safe haven for many animals, you will encounter an abundance of wildlife at our sanctuaries as help provide the much-needed maintenance and upkeep support.
With a love for wildlife, you will undertake various tasks such as building much needed bird, bat and dormouse boxes, coppice areas of hazel, restore Baronsdown’s butterfly garden and so much more. This truly is a fantastic opportunity to help create an environment where wildlife can continue to flourish.
Working with the Head of Conservation & Education, this is a chance to learn more about conservation, develop new skills, meet like-minded people and spend time in the outdoors surrounded by an abundance of wildlife living free from persecution.
The League Against Cruel Sports is Britain’s leading charity working towards a kinder society where persecuting animals for ‘sport’ is in the past.
Redefining what is acceptable and inspiring change, we were instrumental in helping bring about the landmark Hunting Act 2004. Driven by compassion and empowered by knowledge, we manage sanctuaries to protect wildlife, carry out investigations to expose law-breaking and cruelty to animals, and campaign for stronger animal protection laws and penalties.
United, we will end animal cruelty in the name of ‘sport’.
