Job Description

Whatever your style, you’ll fit right in.

We are looking for passionate and motivated individuals to support our Gloucester Road shop as Hub Volunteers. Our charity shops rely on generous donations made by the public to raise crucial funds that enable us to support and care for those living with a terminal illness. From clothes, homeware and books, to CDs and DVDs, we sell a wide variety of products. We want people who are enthusiastic, customer focused and as excited as us about charity retail.

Our Gloucester Road shop also hosts our first ever Community Hub, providing a unique environment for anyone affected by terminal illness. From within the shop, members of the public can access Marie Curie’s expert information and learn more about the support we provide. The hub’s Support Line space gives people the opportunity to explore our Information and Support booklets, access the online Palliative Care Knowledge Zone and contact our Support Line in a safe and supported environment.

As a Hub Volunteer you will be helping with: sorting through donations and preparing them to be sold, supporting the organisation and delivery of events in the Community Hub as well as assisting members of the public in finding the support and information they need via our in-house Support Line space.

No experience is needed as training is provided.
