We are looking for a team player, who is able to support our board to grow the charity over the next few years. Our aim is to break down barriers which prevent people accessing the arts – as well as enriching our community with our workshops, community events and gallery space. We are a passionate and dedicated team in need of support embedding new procedures, strategies and development plans to help the charity grow. We welcome hand-on trustees who wish to come and help at workshops and events, but this is not expected or a requirement of the role.
If you have a background in any of the following it would be very useful for our board: charity experience, marketing and communications, human resources, inclusion and diversity and/or finance. Previous trustee experience is not necessary and we are actively seeking applications from all ages and backgrounds. Having a board with diverse backgrounds and lived experiences will enable SCIP to improve decision making to be more inclusive whilst having better understandings of potential barriers people have experience accessing arts. SCIP are focused on working with people who share our vision and values.

Do you have a passion for organising social groups and meeting new people? Want a flexible voluntary role that allows you to make a difference to peoples’ lives? Then read on!
NWR is a membership organisation for women that has been bringing women together for over 60 years. We have over 300 groups across the country who meet for informal chats and discussions. Women of all ages are welcome to join.
What will you do?
Following the success of the new groups in Hertfordshire, we are recruiting volunteers across the country to set up new NWR groups in their area. These NWR groups will meet monthly in a local pub or bar with a set theme – this theme acts as an icebreaker and ensures that no two meetings feel the same! Themes could cover a wide range of topics and are designed to be light-hearted and an opener for conversations that could lead anywhere (and usually do!).
We hear from many members about how much joy NWR membership has brought to their lives; the friendships forged, companionship and wide-ranging conversations held. We want to reach more women to give them this opportunity.
Your role would be to run the group: promote it, schedule and run the meetings and respond to enquiries.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for volunteers who enjoy meeting and talking to new people, are familiar with using social media and have excellent administration and IT skills. In a nutshell, we’re looking for a “people person” who is comfortable with a spreadsheet and social media!
What will we provide?
We will provide training and support from staff who have experience of setting up and running a group as well as templates and promotional material for you to use. You would also be part of a friendly network of other volunteers.
The amount of time spent on the role will vary from week to week. It is estimated that the role will require 5-10 hours a month, which includes time spent at your meetings.
We are looking for dedicated, energetic and engaged people for the RE Museum’s first independent Board of Trustees.
We have vacancies for up to six Trustees who will join us at a truly groundbreaking time, as we transition into a Charity Incorporated Organisation.
We are building a Board of Trustees with a diversity of backgrounds, skills and experience; ensuring that we are best place to realise our ambitions, improve our public offer, our care for the heritage of the Corps of Royal Engineers and ultimately the positive impact we have on the lives of our growing audiences.
Further information is available to download in the Trustee Recruitment Pack. We hope that you are keen to apply for the role and thank you for your interest.

Passionate about the past? Interested in inspiring current and future generations? Relish the challenges presented by transformation and change?
This is your opportunity to play a crucial role shaping the future of one of the UK’s leading archaeological practices and education charities.
MOLA (Museum of London Archaeology) has been providing independent professional heritage advice and services for over 50 years across the UK and internationally. In this time, we have delivered some of the largest archaeological projects ever undertaken. This includes excavations ahead of new developments such as Crossrail, HS2 and the A14 Huntingdon to Cambridge scheme.
But that’s not all. As the only British archaeological practice to be awarded Independent Research Organisation (IRO) status, our research and its impacts are recognised worldwide. Our fieldwork and research feeds into driving our award-winning public impact programmes – inspiring current and future generations about the past and the places they live. We genuinely believe archaeology has the power to change people’s lives for the better and as such seek to embed partnership and participation throughout our work.
With a new Chair of Trustees and Chief Executive in post, we are about to embark on a significant programme of transformation and change - and have big ambitions.
Whilst archaeology deals with the past, we aim to continue leading the way when it comes to innovation and impact. Are you the right person to support us on that journey?
About the opportunity
We are seeking up to four new trustees to join our board. After a period of significant change in 2023, we are seeking innovative and experienced individuals as we enter a new and exciting period for our world-leading charity. We are particularly looking for individuals with the following experiences and skills:
·Digital and Technological Innovation – we are seeking support from an individual with a strong background in tech/digital, with the skills, knowledge, and expertise to advise and guide us on our programme of digital transformation.
· Finance and Commercial – Although we’re a charity, 90% of our funding is generated through commercial activities. We’re looking for a trustee with a sharp eye for the numbers who can help us push the margins on our commercial activities.
We also welcome trustees from a variety of backgrounds, and we are keen to boost the following skills on our board:
· Legal and HR
· Research and grants
· H&S and environment
·Media and communication
An understanding of or a background in the archaeology sector is not necessarily required – however, a passion for the past is a must!
Commitment
We anticipate that Trustees will need to participate in a minimum of 4 meetings per year, but there will be the opportunity to play a broader role, including attending board sub-committees, staff committees and working groups.
Why become a Trustee at MOLA?
As a Trustee you can make a difference – you will play a crucial role in guiding MOLA’s strategic direction and help make important decisions that will have an impact on both our organisation and the wider archaeological sector.
Becoming a Trustee for MOLA will be a fulfilling role and you’ll have the opportunity to see and hear about some of the fascinating archaeology discoveries we encounter every day.

ABOUT THE PIONEER CLUB
Founded in 1941 for young evacuees from London during the Second World War, The Pioneer Club is a registered CIC and charity supporting communities in St Albans and beyond. With our partners, we deliver arts programmes, music and skateboarding through events, workshops, training, and classes. Whether it’s live music in our iconic music hall, lessons with our amazing team of pro skateboarders, or on the stage with our performing arts programmes, there’s something for everyone at The Pioneer!
As an historic grassroots music venue, we have witnessed some of the biggest names in music come through our doors, including Motorhead and The Zombies of “She’s Not There”. Enter Shikari are another hugely successful St Albans band who started out at The Pioneer Club, before moving on to achieve global success, including headlining Download Festival and performing at Wembley Arena.
WHY WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT
Taking part in extra cirricular activities is so important for children and young people. Access to skateboarding, dance, music, art and other performing arts leads to benefits such as:
-Improved self-esteem and self-control
- Decreased hyperactivity and inattention
- Reduced antisocial or criminal behaviours
- Improved prosocial behaviours, such as empathy and helping others
Sadly, funding for the youth activity is decreasing year on year. And grassroots music venues are closing at a rate of 2 per week. This affects all young people, but especially those from the least advantaged communities who, as a result, may never pick up a musical instrument or have access to art and culture.
As a charity, we couldn’t exist without the support of our volunteers. As part of the team, you will be helping us to market our events and activities and to develop and support our website, which helps us to raise the funds to keep going, and ensure that every young person has access to the arts, no mater their circumstance.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
Join our dynamic team as a Marketing Volunteer and contribute to making a positive impact on our community. This volunteer position offers a unique opportunity to enhance your marketing skills while supporting our mission to create lasting change.
This role will include:
Web Design: Help us to design, build and launch our new website
Content Creation: Develop engaging and compelling content for various marketing channels, including social media, mailings, and website updates
Social Media Management: Assist in managing and growing our social media presence by creating and scheduling posts, engaging with followers, and tracking analytics
Campaign Support: Contribute to the planning and execution of marketing campaigns to raise awareness and drive support for our charitable initiatives
Collaboration: Work closely with the wider team to brainstorm ideas, provide input on strategies, and contribute to the overall marketing plan
Graphic Design: Create visually appealing graphics for promotional materials, ensuring alignment with our brand guidelines
Research: Stay informed about marketing trends, competitor activities, and relevant news to optimise our marketing efforts

- Flexible and adaptive
- A team player, looking to be part of a great group of like minded people
- Passionate and knowledgeable about marketing
- Reliable, and able to commit to the role
- Proficient in graphic design tools
If this sounds like you, we would love to have you on our team!
TIME COMMITMENT
We can’t deliver our services without the generosity and time of our volunteers, so work to be flexible around you. You can commit to anything from a few hours a week, or more.
WHAT CAN WE GIVE YOU?
- A benefits package including: access to exclusive Pioneer supporter events, early booking privileges for music and other events, room booking discount, a free weekly skate session
- The chance to be part of a team with regular meet ups and social events
- The opportunity and support to achieve any professional goals
