We now have an exciting opportunity for a volunteer Social & Content Manager to join ADC.
Main purpose of job: Develop and implement our social media & content strategy in order to increase our online presence and drive engagement

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop a content calendar across all social platforms ensuring a constant supply of relevant content (1 post per week on LinkedIn, Facebook & Instagram – initially)
- Collate content for, prepare and publish the monthly volunteer newsletter through MailChimp
- Identify and engage with key social influencers to create beneficial relationships and strong networks and grow the ADC brand
- Perform social listening across all social platforms by monitoring and responding to relevant brand mentions and identifying opportunities for engaging in related topics/discussions
- Define social media KPIs, measure and optimize social media performance metrics, and develop enhanced reporting
- Manage and oversee social media content
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
Essential
- 3+ years of experience in social and content management
- Experience using MailChimp or similar software
- Excellent knowledge of Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and other social media platforms
- Experience of forming relationships with key influencers on social media
- Good understanding of SEO metrics and social media KPIs
- Ability to come up with creative content (text, image and video)
- Available to volunteer at least 7 hours a week
- Ability to actively take initiative and help set things up in a start-up environment
- Ability to actively seek and give input in a collaborative team environment
- A committed team player with good communication skills.
Desirable
- Experience of establishing online communities on social media
- Experience working in an early stage start-up and gone through a scaling phase
- Passion for the start-up life and comfortable in a role with a little ambiguity

Role Description
This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to build their skills in fundraising and business development. The funding development manager will be responsible for raising project finance and securing grants, sponsorships and partnerships. They will need to work closely with the project teams to develop the business cases and documents. They will need to manage timelines and keep up to date with schedules and opportunities. They should be proficiant at conducting industry and market research, writing reports, writing grant applications, creating presentations and supporting project proposals/quotations.
Qualifications
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint and other Microsoft or Google products (such as Google Docs and Slides)
- Great communication skills (written and verbal)
- Previous experience in fundraising is desired
- Ability to work independently and remotely is required
- Desire to work in a mission-driven organisation is required
- Knowledge of sustainable development and/or design/engineering is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (STEM/Business/Marketing) is required

This is a fantastic opportunity for an early career Communications Intern/Officer to be based with an NGO in the heart of Madagascar.
Living in the coastal town of Fort Dauphin in the southeast of Madagascar, this role will support the team managing SEED’s media and communication work. The successful candidate will work with both national and international staff to assist on a wide variety of tasks, from supporting with planning and scheduling content across our range of social media platforms, creating digital media for marketing and social media and day-to-day administration tasks. The role is predominantly office based with some ad-hoc travel to our rural projects. The diversity of activities undertaken will provide a wide-ranging experience for an early career communications and media professional who can effectively and efficiently deal with a comprehensive range of tasks related to the complex world of overseas development work.
Title: Media and Communications Intern - change of title and responsibilities to Media and Communications Officer subject to passing 3-month probationary review.
Location: Fort Dauphin, Anosy Region, Madagascar
Commitment: 12 months extendable
Salary: Voluntary, with stipend contribution to living expenses and £650 contribution to insurance
Duties and responsibilities

Create and write social media, website and newsletter content with staff across all departments in line with SEED’s strategy

Work with the Senior Media and Communications Officer to develop and edit content, ensuring different platforms are used to best advantage SEED’s positioning

Provide timely, day to day monitoring and replying to questions and debates across platforms

Support the development of individual giving and fundraising campaigns, through all stages

Work with the Senior Media and Communications Officer and Project Officers to storyboard and develop content as well as engaging and creative social media and awareness-raising campaigns

Support the review and evaluation of social media platforms against marketing KPIs

Occasional travel to field sites to generate content to be used on social media and other outlets at the direction of Senior Media and Communications Officer

Shoot and edit visual high quality content that documents project activities at a national and international level

Choice International is a UK based not-for-profit international development organisation that seeks to address inequality issues both overseas and within the UK. About Deki:
Working in partnership with IADES and communities in Togo, we have developed a holistic approach through our five scalable programmes, tackling some of the key causes of poverty and ensuring long-lasting, sustainable change.
Focusing on supporting rural livelihoods, increasing economic inclusion, raising awareness of gender equality, and empowering female entrepreneurs, our programmes are supported by tailor-made training, and are designed to increase access to financial support, affordable healthcare, clean cookstoves and safe drinking water for tens of thousands of people.
The Role:
As a trustee, you'll ensure good governance of the charity, and that Deki's strategies and operations align with our mission. You'll provide invaluable guidance to our CEO, shape long-term goals, and oversee critical decisions that drive sustainable change.

The current time commitment is as follows:

Committee/Advisory Group Meetings: Up to 4 times a year, scheduled for your convenience.
The Board is currently composed of 6 trustees with a wide range of experience and expertise. The Finance role will support our Chair of the Audit & Risk Committee and work closely with the CEO on financial targets and progress in achieving them. Our new Marketing focused trustee will Chair the Business Development Advisory Group and support the CEO in delivering our Business Development Strategy.
