Do you have fundraising experience?  Are you creative and able to think of non-traditional routes to income generation?  MCS-Aware is a small charity looking for a responsible, creative,
hardworking person to join our small team as a volunteer fundraiser.  We are looking to establish corporate fundraising partnerships and invest more time in grant making applications.

We are looking for volunteers with enthusiasm and commitment to work as part of a small team.
You should be motivated, self-managing and organised, with previous fundraising experience.

This is a very rewarding role helping people affected by Multiple Chemical Sensitivity (MCS) and
environmental illness. It offers a chance to be part of our small efficient team helping people with
MCS in the UK and worldwide. We would like a volunteer to;

  • Support and suggest marketing intiatives to increase our income from key products including  subscriptions and advertising.
  • Submit grant applications and follow through to (hopefully!) sucessful completion.
  • Approach corporate partners to arrange fundraising opportunities.

This post is to work from our Hitchin Office, ideally we are looking for a 6 hour a week minimum committment and are flexible when these hours are worked.  Once familiar with the charity, home-working is possible.

MCS-Aware is a small, national charity providing information and support to anyone affected by environmental Illness including Multiple Chemical Sensitivity (MCS), multiple food intolerance, and electro-hypersensitivity. We currently have two part time staff, and several volunteers. This role would suit someone with an interest in eco-friendly living as the successful applicant will be required to use fragrance-free laundry detergent. Due to the nature of the role, helping people with sensitivities, applicants should not be smokers or wear perfume. We will be happy to answer questions and give guidance on this.

To apply please submit a CV and covering letter.
