Job description

We have a Thurday evening club called Gateway for local residents with a learning disability. The club stars for volunteers at 18.45-21.15pm and we offer a wide and varied range of activites for those who use our service. The aim of the club is to encourage social interaction, build networks and allow our indivudals to engage in activites. This club is for adults and does not a age limit. The group is very diverse and a happy group who enjoy meeting and soppending time together.

We would like to recruit some volunteers to help run and manage the project. This will include working with other vounteers to arrange activites, setting up and tidying up, helping make the tea and coffe, engaging with the service users and helping them when neccery.  The group are very likely and enjoy meeting and talking to people. 

This role will suit someone who has worked in social care fefore or who is keen to work in this sector. You will have good team work exsperience and enjoy a challenge.You will need to be commited and ready to to try new things.
