Trustee Roles
Military Wives Choirs is a small but ambitious charity looking to further its reach and impact across the military community both in the UK and internationally. Formed in 2012, we already connect a diverse group of over 2000 women across 70 choirs in the UK and on British military bases overseas. Singing in a choir has been proven to enhance wellbeing, improve mental and physical health and reduce social isolation and with no auditions and no pressure to perform, we create powerful support networks for our members. But there is still a lot more to be done in spreading our philosophy of Sing, Share, Support.
As a number of our Board are coming to the end of their terms, we’re now looking for four Trustees who are passionate about our work and can bring both leadership skills and technical knowledge and ability in any of the following areas:
· Legal
· PR & Comms
· Marketing & Social Media
· Social Investment & ESG
As a Board, we are committed to creating a culture that is open, forward thinking and inclusive, recognising the value of different perspectives. Working closely with our Chief Executive and a small operations team, our top priority will be to implement a new three-year strategy that will increase the reach and impact of our life-changing work whilst building resilience and sustainability.
It’s not essential that you have previous experience as a Trustee, more important is the ability to think strategically and critically, have passion for our cause, be collaborative and act with integrity.
Please see the full pack for more detailed information on the role. It can be found on the Military Wives Choirs website under the vacancy section.
Closing date for applications is 24th November 2023. Successful candidates will be invited for interview with a number of the Trustees between 7-18 December.
The client requests no contact from agencies or media sales.
